Personally I've not been buying much vinyl for the past year or so, certainly dubstep anyway. Only about 2 or 3 new dubstep 12"s.
I would however be buying quite a bit of vinyl if I had more disposable income. There's still good music being released, but things like dnb and dubstep are just burning out. I've bought more dubplates than I have vinyl this year. If this was like 2008 or something though, most of those tunes would've been released on 12" by now and I'd not have needed to cut dubs.
Hype's problem is no doubt his audience. The original crew who were buying Playaz/Ganja 12"s religiously have now stopped eating pills every weekend and either have full-time jobs and a family or they've sold their 1210s to buy crack.
Who cares anyway. Some people just prefer vinyl and always will. It's not gonna disappear.
