Like I said he's gonna get fucked on a civil case soon enough. He can't refuse to testify in that setting, plus they can cover all the things the prosecution of this case fucked up on.
Not even manslaughter!?ehbrums1 wrote:its the right call imo, not enough for a conviction. doesnt mean the dude isnt a scumbag tho
Plaxico's incident happened in NY (god damn as a Giants' fan that one hurtdubunked wrote:you talking about plax?dotcurrency wrote:Florida is fucking up man lol.
What bothers me most about this case however, 4 years ago a Football player (American Football player that is) shot himself by accident in his leg and got 3 years in prison for unlawfully carrying a gun. (He had a license but it expired or something) And this man murders a kid and can go home after the case
yeah i thought they were too aggressive in going for second degree. To me there were too many unknowns to lock the guy up for 30 years or whatever it would have been on manslaughter, but i thought it was gonna be 50/50.dubunked wrote:True, not enough for second degree murder, but manslaughter... I think they could have at least given him manslaughter.ehbrums1 wrote:its the right call imo, not enough for a conviction. doesnt mean the dude isnt a scumbag tho

come on man you're better than that. you can't just generalize a whole region. i live in the "bible belt" and there are a lot of just and smart people here. hell florida is probably one of the least "south" states in the south if you know what i mean.wormcode wrote:Yeah. Those deadly force/carry laws need to be challenged. They give wannabe cops like this a vigilante outlook on things. A lot of them are just itching to take advantage of it.
(oh noes is that prejudiced)

You're right, and I'm not talking negative about the people for the most part, just the laws on the books coming from the southern region and its legal track record. Like what's going on with abortion stuff in Texas now, which is also one of the 'least south' states in comparison to some others, but still it is mostly concentrated to that region as far as the laws & politics go. Something like this would be handled a lot differently in other regions.orangeluva56 wrote: come on man you're better than that. you can't just generalize a whole region. i live in the "bible belt" and there are a lot of just and smart people here. hell florida is probably one of the least "south" states in the south if you know what i mean.

Not ironic at all loldubunked wrote:It's ironic that Mississippi is the most conservative and most religious of all 50 states, and at the same time is the poorest, least literate, and least prosperous of all 50 states.
lets be real though, civil suits are worthless... just take the martin luther king jr. civil suit for example, where they found the memphis police and federal agencies guilty in assassinating him. and yet practically no one knows of the verdictdeadly habit wrote:Like I said he's gonna get fucked on a civil case soon enough.
