what if they banned that experiment where u evaporate salt or w/e, would u protest for that cus its chemistry?
I dunno really it just annoys me, i think it's how arrogant the majority of people who go on protests are that annoys me.
All the people i know irl who actually go on protests and are 'activists' are complete twats who i wouldn't spend 10 minutes with.
They can ban all the chemistry they want lol idgaf.
I don't think i would protest anything unless the benefits outweighed the effort and anger it would probably involve. I don't see anything like that happening for a while.

I do have lots of respect for people who go and fight (lyrically not physically bro) for something they believe in
but fuck me most of the activists i've come across are ignorant as fuck.. Your heart may be in the right place yeah i'll give you that, but one problem may have multiple solutions, and if one those solutions isn't the one they're campaigning for then NOPE DONT WANNA HEAR IT NHUH YOU'RE WRONG
you know who is a genuinely good guy? that new pope, the most down to earth motherfucker we've been graced with who has a voice.

Most of the people I've met in these circles have actually been really well informed, well read and balanced individuals, not 'eco-sizan' or flippin' stone age druid Luddite anarchist types that you're all on about. Granted, I have met a few of them, but hey, different strokes for different folks. If they want to reject society and go and live in a yurt and shit in a bucket then that's their choice, which has a negligible effect on anyone other than themselves. They are harmless.
There are twats in every walk of life, not just at protests.
I mean, just look at football fans. A small selection of them ruin it for everyone. Most people who enjoy football and go to matches come from all walks of life, and just want to support their team. It's the most verbal meat headed ones who aren't really there for the cause, who are there just to stir shit up tend to give the rest a bad reputation.
Same goes for religion, politics, journalists, the police, music forums....
It's the same everywhere. Usually, for some reason ignorant stnuc in any situation are generally the loudest and most annoying, and seem to get the most attention...

Yeah that's true although i have met a lot of football fans who aren't stnuc, whereas every single, with no exceptions, 'activist' i have met irl is a bellend. I can only go by my experiences.

ELL-OH-ELL @ people refusing to foe/ignore people because that's not the way it's done in real life. A message board is a piece of technology that enables you the benefit of ignoring/avoiding people you don't like and choosing to discuss with people you DO like. Refusing to do so is like purposely burning yourself on a lighter because it's easier to get burned on torches too.
