its not about caring how next people are dancing or wot they look like, its all about the music and being one with the music and the people. its the people that care about "image" dat normally bring the bad vibes to raves. think about it... most music genre/scenes dat are largely based around "image" are ones dat you know theres gonna be bad vibes and trouble when u go out to.
no one should have to come out to a dubstep rave and care about wot they look like or how they dance, if a whie man wants to have dreads, so wot? if your paying enuff attention and actually caring how people are dancing and how they look, then id say ur obviously not paying enuff attention and appreciation to the music, the thing that you came out for in the first place.
please! all u prejudice, narrow minded or/and "image" obsessed people (i practice wot i preach and aint got nothing against yous apart from a different view) please dont spoil the vibes for other people. kool.
rant over... thanks!

I think this sums up my sentiments exactly...lkewis wrote: Whether standing by the bar nodding your head and listening, clasping onto the speaker stack with your head in the bass bin, throwing shapes like a true raver or breakin moves out like a pro, remember not to worry what people that arent free enough to move with music think, and to respect peoples space around you (especially in a crowded location) Dont be the sweaty guy the causes beef by knocking into a man's girlfriends or spilling peoples drinks!!
Do what you feel, dont care what others look like, dont care what others think you look like. Just have fun without fucking up other peoples fun

On a real dubstep attracts mostly white nerds and history has shown us that white nerds can't dance.
That's your problem.

ye ye i dnt fink der shud be an emphasis on "coolness" of dancing, its not an issue, thats the uniqueness of the genre that everyone can be true to themselves and do as they please...tempest wrote:I think this sums up my sentiments exactly...lkewis wrote: Whether standing by the bar nodding your head and listening, clasping onto the speaker stack with your head in the bass bin, throwing shapes like a true raver or breakin moves out like a pro, remember not to worry what people that arent free enough to move with music think, and to respect peoples space around you (especially in a crowded location) Dont be the sweaty guy the causes beef by knocking into a man's girlfriends or spilling peoples drinks!!

i think the reason why theres an emerging "slight" pressure on dance is becoz its a fairly new rapid growing music scene and its in a position of creativity where things like dances, etc grow to build on the culture....
IMO its RAVE music, and like all the other rave genres the its jus about natural movement, from nodding to skanking, thats the default. that said, the huge range of experimentalism and the bpm alows for the same sorta experimentalism with dance...
As long as everyones havin a gd time without ruining anybody elses time thats wot matters really.I think as long as everyone can move to the beat its all gd, doesnt matter how u do it lol. i think the "problem" is ppl moving off beat, but practice makes perfect i guess lol.
Id like to see new innovative dances coming thru tho, becoz the music is broad enuff to cater to the real dancers all the way to those who just nod, so we shud be seeing a range of ppl's expressions. Even tho it doesnt matter how u do it, id like to see sum nice rhythmic stuff too, a nice expression of the passion for the music (in a constructive way i.e. not moshing lol)...
this girls a good example. even tho she is a bit out of time, n sumtimes looks like she is tryin to hard.....but it still shows the potential of good dances to dubstep.

you CAN dance to dubstep, the music is THAT broad so why cant the method of "dancing" be....
its all about diversity and ranges....
