d&b as a whole never went anywhere near that stage, just the big raves turned to wobble fests and stayed that way for years..-Dubson- wrote:correcto, in regards to the music splitting, as long as it doesnt get to the dnb stage where u can only play a set of identical tunes i think its good.Reptilian wrote:to me trolley snatcha, cookie monsta and stenchman bear absolutely no relationship whatsoever to what i originally liked about dubstep
NONE WHATSOEVER - it might as well be a totally different genre of music

Don't try to talk me out of it. Big fucking kick drum rolls and pendu snares everywhere... well ok just on the 3.Piston wrote:I love the LFOabZ wrote:TBH when I hear so much from a handful of people about how allergic they are to LFO's, it makes me want to write a raging, throbbing, wobblefest jam in epic proportion.

There's plenty music I don't personally like. But it's not my place to diss it...cos there's someone somewhere lovin it and therefore it enhances their life. I can't stop that, and would be wrong to try.

No, because I'm pretty sure stenchman wouldn't spin one of my records. It's not offensive - you can't expect everyone to like what your doing, how many people who love La Roux remix would have told skream they loved Elektro when that came out?grime suspect wrote:i tossed all over my screen about thisdubstee wrote:The irony being that by bothering to type out that post he indicated that he did indeed give a toss, and quite a big one at that.adisize wrote:Woah mate, have some modesty about yourself - He didn't even say he didn't like your music just said it wasn't a style he was feeling.Stenchman wrote:to me, you bear no relationship whatsoever to a person whos views i give a toss aboutReptilian wrote:to me trolley snatcha, cookie monsta and stenchman bear absolutely no relationship whatsoever to what i originally liked about dubstep

he didn't say "stenchman does not understand dubstepz init" he said you did not bear a relationship to what HE LIKED about dubstep, that is not an insult.
I wouldn't particularly spin one of your records, but with the amount of releases i see from you, you must be doing something right but this attitude is not what I think you should be giving out.
maybe cause these artist are making dubstep, there are diferent styles but saying "may as well be a diferent genre" and "i wudnt personally spin one of ur records" is reason enough to take offence do u not think.
thread title says it all
lets all get along like a happy family
