so i returned i bike a used just once to the shop today, and managed to get a full refund.

However, the bike, even though i just used it once, got a few scratches and i replaced the brake wire. I was fretting over returning it for months, but when it happened they didn't even check properly before giving me the refund, and i did my best at covering it all up on a first-glance look, and saying it wasn't mine and i got it as a gift.

I'm happy i got a full refund after stressing for ages but also quite disappointed in myself for returning it in worse condition then i bought it and ripping them off. I covered up scratches with a black marker pen so i feel quite bad and dishonest. How would you feel?

who gives a fuck... honestly if you buy a bike and are upset about a few scratches, isnt it going to get scratched up eventually anyways

i didn't return it cos of the scratches, i returned it because it wasn;t the right bike, i was stressing over whether they would notice the scratches that i created

if i bought a bike as new that had secretly been returned and was secretly damaged and i found out i'd be very very unhappy

if they find out they might sell it second hand, but it still puts them out of a bit of cash. I wouldn't do it to an independent store but i still feel bad doing it to a chain. Plus, it had a couple scratches on it anyway, when i bought it brand new. I wasn't fussed much until i decided to return it. Was a stunt bike so is bound to get fucked up but if i were the customer i would still like the pleasure of having a shiny new bike for a day. Ripped off shop and possibly a customer. Feel bad. Have my money and got away with it. Feel good. Moral dilemma.
