I use Reason myself, but give me a solution to this one:
You can't (at least that I would know) change the tension of the automation curves in Reason.

FL is the all in one DAW of the Gods! No but really FL's built in generators and fx are superior to most DAWS. There's really no need for third party plugins, which I have for shits and giggles, but it's self sufficient.

they say FL studio is the easiest to learn, but I've tried a lot of DAWs and it's the only one that I just couldn't figure out, lol

It's weird at first because it's really like no other DAW. But if you mess around with it for a while and watch some tutorials on YouTube you'll find that it's actually very user friendly.

IMO reason is better as rewire material than as a standalone DAW

Rewire material, that's like being one night stand material
Curve tension affects how much the line curves and in what direction. At the midpoint, it's a straight line. Add tension in either direction to bias the curve more to that side.

NOTHING comes close to Renoise for speed of production. That being said, I've been using Live 9 ever since I bought it, and though it's slower to work within, My arrangements have improved greatly, as I'm more likely to think outside the 'pattern' paradigm.
I've gotten to the point where I can read Renoise patterns - its practically like notation - kinda weird

Anyone ever switch from Ableton to Logic (or Logic to Ableton)? What did you like better? Did you stay with Logic or switch back?

yeah thats great and all but i dont really feel im missing out too much by not having it, i like zooming in and clicking loads of dots to make a curve, makes me feel like a craftsman
your play again AGU

I didn't think it'd make much difference until I used it either. You can define the ideal curve a lot easier per point, makes things sound smoother.

To be fair, I just checked out Reason 7 and it looks way better than Reason 5 which is what I have used in the past... it seems they finally decided to make it an actual DAW. No more daisy chaining 5 mixers together to make a track, no more using a 32-band vocoder as a frequency analyzer, no more having to use samplers for all the audio in your track... they definitely improved a lot of things.

Have it on my shitty mac at the moment! Havent gotten a chance to truely mess with it yet.
I think ableton is the best daw at resampling. Common m8s, you freeze your track and duplicate the midi and drag it to an audio track and bam! Instant wav file from midi
I first started out on Fl but at first thought all the stock plugins and interface was a bit to complicated. Thought the vsts were shit BUT now i can see that they have the best potential out of any stock DAW.
I rewire with reason because malestrom, thor, subtracktor are crazy and massive sounding! If had to start over in picking a daw it would be reason.
The workflow is different and tbh pretty fucking complicated but you get banger sounds out of it. If you know what everything does that is....
