definitely dark, but dunno, the first 5 have a different vibe. they have that duality between shackleton's weird tribal/oriental stuff and appleblim's grimy "urban" tunes, and gatekeeper's tomb which kinda falls right in the middle.

yeah i forgot about appleblim for a moment actually those tunes can be something else

I was going through Youtube a bit ago, and a huge realization struck me: producers don't have the image association that most musicians have.
Compared to rock/metal/pop, dubstep really doesn't have the face behind the music. Really the only producer that REALLY sticks out as having his own unique image behind the music is Rusko (because fuck Skrillex). Discuss, I'm interested to hear your thoughts on this.

I like applebim, his tunes remind me a bit of goth-trad's in a way

its about the music. not whos making it.

This is like all that deep house in the 90s and a lot of 2step stuff later on has this kind of problem

so does most hip hop today in the mixtape era
