Ez!

I'm Alcane :t:

Been DJing Drum & Bass since 1998, but play Hip-Hop, Electro (chunky stuff like Ed Chamberlain, Luke's Anger) and of course Dubstep.
Right now I focus on the darker, techy side of D&B.

I also produce, currently got one release on the Canadian imprint 'Make Shift Records' and always trying to come up with another, although I'm quite lazy when it comes to finishing stuff off.

Over the years I've been involved with various things. Promoted my night 'Red Alert' in Scotland from 2000-2008. Currently I hold residencies at Symbiosis (Glasgow) and Split (Edinburgh).

Also I have hosted radio slots on PlanetDNB (August 2006 to January 2009), Twisted Frequency (September 2007 to June 2008) and lastly Dark Wax Radio (October 2008 to present). You can catch my weekly show, every Tuesday 8pm-9pm GMT...

Yo,

I'm from near Exeter down in devon.

I dj (not particularly amaziingly) dubstep and hard techy dnb. I also am starting to produce dubstep. I also obsessively collect records of all kinds, gorey movies, old school video games and comics.

You do GIS for a living?

I'm a CAD/Graphics technician by trade, frequently use ArcView at work though.

Hi,

I'm currently based in High Wycombe and playing dubstep (plus dnb, breaks and electro) every tuesday @ The Garden to a student crowd that absolutely love it!

I was really turned off by dubstep when i first heard it years ago, to me it sounded like really bad wobble/jump up dnb had met garage and had kids. Coming from a dnb background i wasnt very impressed (nor was I that impressed by the state of dnb at the time either) but the production quality is now so high and producers like Zomby, Boxcutter, Conquest, Nero and 16 Bit, etc really opened my eyes to another side of dubstep so I'm now a massive fan.

Also big into new skool Jungle Techno (J-Tek) too, works really well alongside dubstep in my sets, i think alot of people here would like it too, check it out - http://www.dto4music.co.uk/genremp3.php ... le%20Tekno

helloo,
My name is irvin. When I make mixes i use the name chowmont : ) intros are weird so heres a quick list of stuf i like in no particular order... Macs, old synths, drum machines, NES, the buddha machine, raves, b-sides on sunday mornings, peruvian food... and music.
my pursuit of new music brought me here. Hearing this sound was like when I first heard an 80's house record, it shook me! it opened a vortex and I slowly stepped in... so yup.[/img]

Hello,
I'm not sure which was the chicken and the egg, regarding drugs and dubstep. I mainly live and party in Nottingham, UK. Been making music, influenced by events and other shite. Dark, trippy and deep, but I know it isn't goin to appeal to everyone. Still, it's about enhancing the chemistry of life, which is my idiosyncratic bond with this wonderful dubby side to life :D

Peace and feasting!

Alright people, I'm Tom and seem to be in the minority here without some sort of Dj'ing/production accolade.. Am into all types of music which I think is what hooked me on Dubstep, the lack of rules and incorperation of so many genres. But yea, that's me :D
