just put Music For The Quiet Hour on for the first time since it came out, after listening to Pinch and Shackleton yesterday and thinking how little Pinch there was in it... really hammering that home

well i mean they are pretty different too but tracks like tin foil sky, hamas rule have that same feel and some similar elements in the percussion... imo

Didn't enjoy Music For The Quiet Hour / The Drawbar Organ EPs at all. The Pinch & Shack album was a bit underwhelming as well. Maybe I should stop comparing everything to the Skull Disco stuff and Three EPs...

yeah if you try to approach it like shack's skull disco stuff it really doesnt work

i really couldnt get into pinch & shackleton at first, but then one night in bed, in the dark, , it really hit me in a special way that not much other music ever has.

and obviously im not saying you have to be stoned to listen to it . but for some it can help to lend that a different perspective

probably rank it in my top 5 fav albums all time
