no doubt the most important. not only because it picked up an arthouse tradition that has been away from main stream america for years. but because it's right in the middle of all the censored plastic mtv porn notions that play too big a part in most of the entertainment industry and mocking it by using it. it's exactly the same thing as lil b, who a lot of people dont get either.

a film is as much about the script as a piece of music is about the tab.
what does arthouse mean? i dont really get movies lol

are blockbuster cinema films like the equicvilant of pop music to film fans?

and arthouse is like undergound 5 panel

synecdoche was a lot...

There was literally - a shit ton of interesting things happening
in complete ridiculous abundance....

and the structure itself, was the mans entire life
so it was looooonggg....

I think to do it correctly - you need to watch it in parts...
and really let the info soak in - because there was so much
-it was like trying to keeping up with a fountain overflowing.

and that was his life - he couldn't live it because it was just overflowing him...

Springbreakers - was a great little - up yours - of a film...
and it still maintains a very decent amount of feeling
- even within the dejected roles that the kids take on.

It's like a swan song of bad boy behavior...

we're bad - and this is fucked up - but
- there's still something of a pure, youthful heart
behind this wretched bigman fantasy.

Just watched Synecdoche. My god what a film... Thought it was quite amazing.
Absolutely phenomenal performance by Hoffman as well.

Read this in the trivia section on IMDB :

"Philip Seymour Hoffman's character's last name is a reference to the Cotard delusion or Cotard's syndrome, also known as nihilistic or negation delusion, which is a rare neuropsychiatric disorder in which a person holds a delusional belief that he or she is dead, does not exist, is putrefying or has lost his/her blood or internal organs."

I can't comment on the others, but this:

Nope. Totally not at all the case with either.

I've not watched Spring Breakers yet though because I feared it would be what you said. Also the riff raff parody idea is stupid. He's too big of a character to do that to in a film in real life

Got pretty fucking out there towards the end. Pretty good though.
Also was one of the women in it supposed to look freakishily similar to him, like they were twins almost?

I love this film, watch it a couple more times and you'll pick up on lots of little things you missed, thematic things like colour scheme & soundtrack changing depending on which alternate timeline you're watching at any time etc

also Juno Temple :U:

On Springbreakers again...

Yeah it was full of masterbatory garbage...that is the issue

BUT....In my opinion

One of the most interesting and above all EXTREMELY MATURE
Things - That I got from the film....

Was....***editted because I ruined it for Laszlo***

I'm sorry Laszlo...movie was love bomb
