Glad you found it dude. I'd just deload a little and work on form tho', no?

I mean, look at it this way; your squats will progress way more now than if you were to simply add weights!

mans proper gym dwellers in this thread. bet ur biceps r massive

i got a free gym both in my school as well as in my building.. should prolly utilize them. the thing is though at least for the school gym i find the sweat-drenched benches and machines disgusting. thats why i only lift free weight when i go there. and maybe try out the tricep machine

in other words proper nunce: only upper torso and not even recovery drink or anything

yeah, I think I will stick with the leg press for a while until I can fix the problem area. There's a trainer at my gym that looks like a powerlifter so I might even pay for a session and get him to take a look at all my lifts.

RIP the Wilclare Gym 45 Degree Press Machine. :(

Was my favourite machine, and then one day it was just gone. Loved it because you could just stack massive plates on it and you'd look hench.

Lol, this. It's the only thing that I ever broke the 400lbs mark on.

Put a towel on the benches?

I never use machines. Literally. There's a whole floor dedicated to machines at my gym that I've never been to. Free weights > machines.

Do you pay enough attention to tightening your abs? Or do any exercises that might weaken your back/abs before you squat? It could be that. I think deloading and payign extra attention to form would be enough since you don't have a sharp pain there while you train. Though getting someone to check your form is good obv.

Have you never tried to take a muscle to failure or had to train around an injury? Machines have their place, dude.

I did! My thumb was fucked up, so I used machines on push day like a year ago. But for general training, I really don't care for them.

I'm not saying that machines don't work. Some people obv grow on them. But for me and I think GENERALLY, for regular training, free weights win hands down.

Yeah fair enough, I just thought it worth mentioning that it depends on your training goals and your limitations.

Just took off a full week of training due to overtraining. Went back to training two days ago and i'm sore as fuuuuck now. Two sick workouts though.

Are you doing different exercises now?

my core is solid brah

I generally do the big heavy compound lifts first so it can't be anything else.

I've gotta be butt winking. When I do the motion at home in front of the mirror without weights I can see my hips slightly rotating forward.

Was that directed at me?
I'll answer it anyway mwuahahah. Since i'm doing pretty much only calisthenics I barely switch up my exercises. However I started experimenting more with explosiveness and slower reps and doing the same exercises a little bit differently. (Like doing deficit push ups, which gives an extra big stretch in your chest) Doing a lot more stuff on the rings such as dips. And been doing some harder push up variaties such as lalanne push ups and one arm push ups.
As for pulling been doing them with heavier weights and going for different variaties on these too.

So been switching things up but not necessary different exercises.

Yeah it was at you. I never got that much soreness after abstaining from exercising for a week, but those little differences could account for it. I'm in my last week before I take one off atm.

Neither did I tbh. Rings are good as hell for overall strength. Getting soreness in all sort of muscles (stabilizers mostly) i've never knew i had before lol.

you must be strong to be able to do dips on rings. respect

^ Word. When I'm done bulking and then cutting, I will focus primarily on raw strength too and do all the usual bodyweight stuff.

They aren't very deep still, but getting there. Since I got rings I found a whole new respect for gymnasts though. Crazy stuff.

ffs I pulled out of my deadlift because I could feel my back again so I then moved onto a straight arm pull down and pulled my lower lat/rhomboid

I doubt I'll be lifting for a week or so. fucking boo :(
