To be honest, I've never heard it as ecstasy, I've always been confused when people reference that part, like I thought I'd missed out an entire section of the tune.

The original is sick as well to be honest.
It's back in by the way.

No doubt, Lost Where I Belong is one of my favourite albums.

The boxset doesn't feel all that limited anymore after this repress, paying the extra for the box + sleeves feels like a waste to me.
Might as well sell my boxset & buy the gatefold version.

You should do that. I love that people react disappointed on a limited release and then complain a little extra when there is a repress.
The music is huge, top quality.

My copy arrived today and it's amazing, exceeded my expectations, honestly better than I could have ever imagined! So hard to pick a favorite, either Changuito, Como Como, The Tourist or Change
Infinite respect to Mala and everyone involved. Truly amazing

Yeh but you allso got the mp3 of the album which you won't get with the gatefold. The gatefold might not have the artwork and notes on the sleeves too.
I wouldn't bother selling ya boxset to buy the gatefold as you won't save that much. Just be happy you have a copy mate, coz loads of peps are pissed off coz they wanted and missed the boxset.

Due to high endless requests Brownswood are now re-issuing the album in a Full colour gatefold sleeve with the same 4 piece 180g vinyl. The re-issue will also include a download code with bonus tracks:
This format has No box & No artwork inner jackets.
bonus tracks?

im not gettin why people are so excited to get free music on computer files when they buy a record. if people want to make computer files just play the song you like and record it off the speakers with your eye-phone mic

na mate i just checked boomkat and it says bout BONUS tracks on the boxset and the gatefold so i assume it probs means calle f and the other track that aint on the vinyl version. I doubt mala would put extra tracks on the cheaper version coz that would kinda piss off peps who paid more.

Put this on at work the other night (finally gave the sub in the ceiling something to do).
Was funny watching the atmosphere in the bar change
was brocking out behind the bar doing air bongos
the duty manager would go out into the kitchen then come back in and say "everytime I keep coming out front the musics louder!"

so i got mine today and have finally listened to it.
front to back, track by track.
wow. i don't even know what to say. on par with return ii space in my eyes (i didn't think it was possible), although it's hardly even valid to compare the two. mala in cuba is attempting something so monumentally different - but it achieves it so well.
my singular complaint is just that the bass seems to be mixed/mastered really loudly. probably because this release wasnt intended as strictly club music, but still.

Why is that a complaint? That was one of my favourite things about it, I can listen to it at lower volumes and still feel the weight

Finally listened to this last night from start to finish... Wow, what a fucking masterful body of work, can't see myself getting bored of this one any time soon, my favourite track so far is changuito though that may change the more I listen to the album
