Brilliant. Understated and captivating... so Ryan Gosling
can act. Great performance from the girl too.
I don't think I've ever seen a movie played from the German point of view in the immediate aftermath of Hitler's death... the girl's journey to realising the truth about her beloved Fuehrer is heartbreaking. Really recommended.

Big upz, Naked is one of my favourite films, don't really consider it a film about London though.

Not a lot. It's about the East German Stasi.

lol yeah
I confused the lives of others with this because both were good (or only have room for two german films at a time).
But the lives of others is probably one of the best films I've seen.

YES to Downfall.
Though it's been forever ruined by the MDMA pizza.
I need more German movies in my life.

I've watched Das Boot, The Experiment and The Counterfeiters recently. All very good..
'Head On' is suppose to be amazing but I haven't got around to it yet.

Cheers chaps. I've seen Baader Meinhof, Das Experiment and Das Boot... Head On definitely looks worth a go.
If anyone's not seen it Goodbye Lenin is a SUPERB post-Wall movie.

Whilst we're skating around WWs, does anyone know of any decent WW1 movies?
100 years in July... feels like only 25 since Blackadder went over the top.

Problem is from a filmmakers point of view, there isn't a whole lot of reason to make one about WWI over the sequel
