Damn, how had I not heard of Paths of Glory? That's going straight on the list!

12 Years a Slave.
Beautiful shot film, tough to watch at times but brings home the message of how evil them people were who were involved in slavery and why it should never be forgotten.

Daddy Douglas' best performance *****

Edit: also now that I think about it there's a french film called 'a very long engagement' that takes place during WWI. It's mainly focused on post-war France but there's a few good sequences in the trenches. Overall a recommended watch !

Big upz, Naked is one of my favourite films, don't really consider it a film about London though.
I think it is in a few ways. Even just the basic idea of this talkative Mancunian who comes down to this glum grey city that has nightwatchmen who guard Space and an ex who wants to go back cos "atleast people talk to you back home", I felt its definitely a Stab at London as a place as much as it is an investigation of what makes humans tick

Sound City

Documentary on the Sound City recording studio narrated by Dave Grohl. Awesome bit of history if you're into your guitar stuff.

Tried to watch the wolf of wallstreet last night because I like Jonah Hill.

I cannot comprehend how anyone would like that film.

It's basicly a rich actor guy that likes to portray rich or powerful (rich) people, talking and bragging to the camera about having and wanting money and power. We are supposed to watch this guy go through some hoops or whatever and then get more powerful (TOTALLY UNLIKE IN THE AVIATOR  ), but right after his first minor setback (20 mins in) he is already an expert and his advice turns morons into little warrenbuffets. There were more closeups of Leo in the first 30 minutes than there is of Kevin Costner in dancing with himself or whatever that film was called.
That was about as far as I got but I'm sure an episode of the Kardashians is as apt at doing this as WoW was and Bruce Jenners face is still a little bit funnier than Matthew Mcconaugheys is. But give him ten years.

Gravity

Shite.
About as entertaining as one of those glossy car ads only the product is George Clooney's smugness, Sandra Bullock's hyperventilating and the film makers disregard/lack of understanding of physics.

Barely even a film. Pissed if you paid money to see that

5/10
