The first track titled Excuse Me combines the dark atmosphere and the sound of dubstep with stepping breakbeat rhythms. The second track Kyanid with stronger melody starts on dubstep rhythm and finally again breaking into the breakbeat. MERAK once again confirmed its predilection for crossing the border of his prime style.

Slime returns with a heavyweight offering to the rave gods courtesy of Ukrainian producer I WANNABE. Through a slew of releases from the past few years I Wannabe has honed a potent combination of twisted dubstep with a lick of industrial and metal to devastating effect. For his début on Slime, he delivers six slabs of pure molten bassweight with a side order of mellow garage and bumping bassline to boot. Pure dancefloor action all the way for those not afraid to get their wobble on!
'Cased' brings the ruckus early with a clock ticking down to a melancholy string salvo before the bass is dropped - a face-melting statement of intent from the get go.
'Wasted' drops the bassweight down a notch for an echo-laden pressure chamber that will be cracking chestplates worldwide. A light glimmer of melody underpins a gargantuan bassline for guaranteed dancefloor mayhem.
'Raw 'N' Dizzy' brings an industrial flex to proceedings with ominous choral FX flashing in and out of a huge slab of rolling beats - not for the faint-hearted.
'In Vacuum' amplifies the twisted basslines of the former into a sonic bomb ready for detonation on sweltering dancefloors across the summer.
'Home' flips the script totally, with a deep melodic garage number that is a pure midnight roller. One for the connoisseurs!
'Dancing (4x4)' takes another tact once again, this time on a totally hyper bassline switch. Strictly for the ladies!!

The Mighty Cornelius' long-awaited release, 'The Cornelius Jones EP' is an eclectic mix of reggae chords and smooth vocals, abrasive riffs and jazz trumpet. Expect the unexpected in this mixed bag of dustup sounds.
The EP's first track is the deep 'Blood On The Tiles'. This track contrasts moody baselines and jazz riffs with four-to-the-floor beats and warm analogue synth sounds. Radio 1's Ally McCrae described it as 'some beautiful, soulful electronica.'
''Far From Home' shows The Mighty Cornelius' reggae influences with a dubby number that would not sound out of place in Kingston 1977. The intricate guitar parts give this piece sonic complexity not normally seen in modern dustup.
'Earth Boy' is abrasive in all ways, from the brooding chords to the aggressive lead. All of this is underpinned by a solid, mechanical drum-beat.
The EP ends with the full vocal mix of 'Far From Home', which features the prodigious vocal talents of Fiona Lynch. This provides relief from the sonic assault of 'Earth Boy', and completes the EP melodically and soulfully.
'The Cornelius Jones EP' leaves us totally satisfied, and yet desperate for more.

Crafty Dubstep from Dom on the freshly minted 877 label, backed with remixes by Grievous Angel and Donga & Blake. There's a definite hint of Timbaland to the original 'Blakelock', squashing a squirmy bass under fragrant vocals sample and sparse, shoulder-rolling rhythm to cool effect. On the flip Grievous Angel steps up for a meaner, meatier version with louder, ruffed-up percussion, and Donga & Blake run a slickly dubbed Garage House sound.
Kevin Speltz aka Oh Tebins! has a gift for transforming and manipulating pop, soul, jazz and
indie music into emotionally compelling, yet upbeat audio soundscapes. He has separated
himself from today’s oversized pack of electronic music producers by creating a unique sound
that is a refreshing deviation from the molds of everyday dance music. Oh Tebins explores
new sonic territory by flirting with heartwarming melodies and dubstep rhythms while constantly
expanding his range and catering more toward an energetic audience.
The first track on the E.P. is titled Wake Me Up and it features floating piano lines, dynamic
synth sounds, complimented by a beautiful airy vocal sample. This progressive jammer will keep
heads nodding and bodies moving on the floor. Luv.ER is a flight into a deeper, sensual world,
easing you into the “love-step” sub genre of bass music. The forward progression of sound
continues with a “5 AM dancefloor” remix by FSTZ. Rounding out the release is Opening
Night; an edgy dance floor rhythm engineered perfectly for the midnight time slot.

"Slime Recordings should be held aloft as a shining example of how digital record labels should run" - Loudat
"Always a haven for upcoming talent, Slime Recordings continue to generate heat" - Juno Download
Slime strikes back for the new year with a welcome return to the label from Swedish producer Materia. Since his last appearance on the label, Materia has been generating hype across the world, with the inclusion of his 'Response' track on Carl Cox's '10 Years Of Space' compilation topping off a momentous year. Never one to be pinned down to any given style, Materia marks his third outing on Slime with a slice of spectral dubstep bursting with melodic beauty.
'Komatiite' is full of deception - the blissed-out overtones of the melody beguiles you whilst the chest-rattling sub-frequencies creep up your spine. Eastern-flavoured reverb ripples through the track deep into your consciousness until your drifting into sweet surrender. On the digital flip the original badman Wascal cooks up an altogether more twisted brew, with rib-cracking subs punctuating a staccato rhythm that has the ebb and flow of a punch-drunk prize-fighter.
