Great post, Magma. You raised a really important point. A majority of the things propagated by UKIP are based on lies and are not backed up by statistics. That is why the party is considered populist. They appeal to the emotions of a group of people who want an answer to why things are bad. UKIP provides that answer: immigrants and the EU. Easy scapegoats in the era of globalization. UKIP supporters dismiss all opposition as part of the "left-wing cultural Marxists agenda".

But that's the point really. The ruling class want the people to place their attention on each other than the puppet master pulling the strings.

• Heino Vockrodt , Brent UKIP candidate - sent an email stating that Muslims in the consituency had a "totalitarian ideology" and were grooming children.
• Gerard Batten, MEP & party immigration spokesman - said Muslims should sign a special code of conduct if they wanted to live in Britain

Marine Le Pen of the French National Party was surprised when Farage rejected a European alliance between them and UKIP as she felt UKIP's policies greatly mimicked the FNP's own. That's a warning sign by itself. Alan Sked, the guy who founded the party, has called Farage a dim witted racist drunk, and that he (Farage) once said in 2004 that they would "never win the n*gger vote".

I don't get the 'pay into the system before taking out' argument tbh, it seems exclusive to foreigners. I think it'd be quite a noble act to help disadvantaged people looking to improve their life and contribute, demanding contribution before you receive any help is asking a bit much of disadvantaged people who have nothing.

Most people here are born on the NHS, you effectively come into this world already "leeching" off the state, thats okay if you're British though? Brits not only get but expect free loading until the age of 16, free health care, free education, your parents even get benefits to help cloth and feed you. Thats 16 years of leeching before most contribute and even then theres a minority of Brits who end up doing fuck all. But a poor foreigner trying to better their life? GIVE US SOME MONEY FIRST!!
