Don't think it would be loefah after his interview with trap magazine, he said something along the lines of" I would much rather work a day job then stay in the dubstep scene."

wait what? What was the interview he did with a magazine recently that said he's been working on new 140 stuff? and that if he were to release tunes again he's got DMZ for that instead of putting out on Swamp81.

Oh man?

Wait, okay tell me what's up here guys. Are there 2 different versions for swindles "Do the Jazz"?

Or do you think the cilps are from two different parts of the tune. I think that's unlikely, but what's going on with this. I much prefer the first clip to the second one, so I hope that's the one on the release.

2nd version...

The above Loefah quote makes pretty much zero sense to me... Is he referring to Mala and Coki when he says that? Does System count as an attempt to recreate 2006?

As for VIVEK, happy that Out of Reach is coming though I woulda preferred Asteroids to Kismet. Anyone think there's much chance of Asteroids VIP ending up on the album?

Highly doubt it. I think the originial will get released on the album and he will keep theVIP to himself as a dub.

Prefer the original massively anyhow tbh. One of the best 140 tunes ever.

I never said that he would, just that we need!! But I don't think he's completely turned his back on 140, he plays at 140 sessions and pushing the house sound and has been playing more Dubstep recently than I've heard from him in the last few years.

I think we'd all appreciate some new 140 bits from him.

I'd definitely be interesting in hearing Loefah's take on 140 in 2012.

I can't think who it was with but I read the whole thing in a coffeeshop in Amsterdam back at the end of march? So around then. Think that's where the whole "loefah ep" thread came from. It definitely got mentioned a few times in there

I don't get that quote, doesn't he play a lot of old school stuff in his sets?

Oh and out of reach :h:

in my book, yes. some people move on and some people stay. neither is right or wrong, just a preference. some find something they love and keep at it, honing and perfecting it... exploring it from the center to the fringes and beyond. some folks love finding the next thing, the next sound or interpretation of the sound. i like it when creations from both of these types of people meet, because fantastic things come out of both views imho

I kinda thought System was brought in really to 1) promote the sound that Mala and VIVEK are pushing on their own soundsystem but 2) to provide something for the true heads seeing as anything dmz related in London has all but disappeared?

nailed it man

and personally, i love the fact that people are keeping the 2006 thing going cause i was never really able to experience it anyways (and still cant tbh for geographical regions)

yeah they skipped 40 too. got a feeling that coki/loefah release was a one-off for them on Medi.

hyped about out of reach too :h:
