I really dont get the whole jumping in front of trains thing, LOOK AT ME, LOOK AT ME.
If your going to kill yourself do it by yourself while you wallow in your own pathetic misery, dont share it with others, and dont jump in front of trains.
I guess for some people that might be the only way they can see of having any sort of impact on the world, the only way they can see that people will take notice of them. Very sad really.
But yeah, it's a pain in the arse.

seconded. i have absolutely no compassion for people like that, all they've done as far as i'm concerned is fuck up my day.
And come on, of all the ways to do yourself over i can think of much better ways of killing yourself, my preffered method would be mainlining some top notch smack stright to my main artery through a garden hose and a funnel. mmmmm

That's not what I was saying. It really saddens me that there are people who are in such a sorry situation that they consider their best course of action is to take their own life.

that's very true and obviously it's horrible that some people feel that way. but taking your own life in a way that directly impacts on others in a really public way is really fucking selfish. at least if you kill yourself in a private way where the impact on others is lessened (obviously it won't be for close friends and family) then you might at least be considering someone elses feelings but your own. but to kill yourself in a way that someone else has effectively killed you - like jumping in front of a train/tube/bus/whatever that is being driven by someone - is really not the way to do it, even if you feel that suicide is the only option left you

Exactly - its the drivers of these trains/buses/cars etc that i feel for. They will probably go the rest of their lives thinking that they killed someone when really there was nothing they could do to stop it. My mates dads a driver on the underground and he's told us about colleagues of his whose lives got pretty much ruined after people jumped out in front of trains they were driving.

Very true, i can't even begin to imagine the hell they must go through over something that's not their fault.
completely agree with all of this. in retrospect the way I phrased comment above makes me seem like a soulless bastard. Been talking about it all day with mates and we were all saying about how bad it must be for te drivers, couldnt even imagine the trauma it must cause. Sad thing is it happens quite a lot as well! I dont understand the logic of it, is it planned or just an impulse action.

yeah its pretty grim and i can imagine it'd fuck you up pretty bad if you were the driver, this kid who went to my college jumped off the bridge at the near to my college right in front of the train (in front of a load of us on the platform) - his head got knocked clean off and it was not pretty.

mate that wasn't even the worst of it, what shocked me even more was all these dickheads who started running down the platform so they could take pictures of the body on the tracks, when i asked one of them what the fuck he was playing at, he said he wanted to take a picture so he could show his mate what happened....fucked up

Jesus fucking Christ. I was going to come in here and post about Ninja Gaiden Sigma being an unfairly hard game, but after Firkys post and the train business I feel like a whiny tnuc.
