I think 99% of the time, producers should release EPs instead of albums.

Hmmm... Yeah, I think you're right actually. Think there's too much a rigid view of:
4 tunes or less = EP
Any more than that = Album
So they add in a load of tunes to bump it up to 11 or 12 tunes, even if they aren't good enough. People need to do more "longer EPs" or "mini albums".

Re: Post your unpopular opinions.
Still don't get why people put out a two track release and call it an EP though.
Re: Post your unpopular opinions.
More producers should make like one 40 minute tune rather than an album or maybe 2 20 min tunes, the way you get with post rock

Re: Post your unpopular opinions.
Depends how long the tracks are IMO. If it's two tracks, but the release is about half an hour long, I can live with it. If it's two tracks and the total running time is like, 11 minutes, it's a single bro.
Re: Post your unpopular opinions.
I feel that most albums are just, "I've got 10 tunes on my HDD I haven't used yet, I've got 1 really good dub people like, may as well put out an album called '[Name of Good Dub] LP'." Albums should have a flow to them, not just be individual tracks.

Re: Post your unpopular opinions.
Most important thing imo. I've got albums that are a more just a collection of tracks, but the best ones flow. Dubstep doesn't do "flowing" albums very well.Riddles wrote:Albums should have a flow to them, not just be individual tracks.
Off the top of my head, the best albums from dubstep bods are the Burials, the Clubroots, Guido - Anidea, Kryptic Minds - One Of Us, Distance - My Demons. But outside of that, all seem more like single artist compilations.
