Hi there, I have been on this site for quite a while, but I thought I would formerly introduce myself today. I usually just come on here for some fresh mixes from the big guys, or promote my radio show and mixes whenever they come out. My real name is Pat, and I go by the guise of Jibby Jabrone. I used to spin dnb/jungle under the name Rickie Dee, but when I switched genres, I decided to find a different name as well.
Anyway a bit about who I am and what I do. I have been running an online radio show labelled "The NWSC Radio Show" under various online radio stations over the past few years. First I started on Orbital Grooves way back in the day when they were free, then I switched to Kunninmindz for a bit, before taking about a year or two long break, then I hopped onto Destroyer.net for a few years. That didn't work out for me too well, so I decided to change once again, and now I broadcast via Dubplate.FM, Toronto's premiere 24/7 Dubstep online radio. The station is run by Dubslingers fromtrunner Joel Blain (aka Coi), and Sasha Petef (DJ SP). The site has been in the test phases for almost a year now, and is so close to being fully launched. Right now, me and DJ Link (Dubslingers) are the only ones with a weekly radio broadcast. The station does broadcast from parties in Toronto whenever they throw a big one.
Other than the radio show I do weekly, I spin here locally in my hometown of Barrie Ontario (a city just an hour north of Toronto) whenever the chances arise (Barrie is not very big for dubstep, ATM..) and I have a chance every few months to travel to Toronto for a gig here and there.
So, my main purpose of using this message board right now is to shamelessly promote my radio show and monthly mixes (when I get around to doing them, lol) and maybe to connect to a few talented individuals in the process, and maybe collect a few dubs along the way. So far I have managed to collect some dubs from some big artists like Roommate, Fused Forces, Broke-N, Parson, XI, Bombaman, NTRLD and Shrike. So if anyone out there would be willing to pass some unreleased material my way, I would be more than happy to push their sounds as much as I am able!
Hope to talk to you all soon and have a great day!
Pat (Jibby Jabrone)

oh hey
I'm fairly new to dubstep. Didn't start listening to it heavily until this year (may have heard a few tracks before 2009 but I can't remember).
Now it seems I can't go a day without listening to some dubstep or close to it. I would say that electronic music is what I mainly listen to but I can listen to most genres if I have a fancy for it.

Hey, I'm Pete and my love for dubstep is the end result of getting into EDM and trying to find a genre I was truly happy with.
At first I thought it was electro house... not bassy enough
Then I thought it was breaks... good and still a favourite
Then I discovered the crossover breaksy wobblies (Stanton Warriors playing the Jack Beats edit of Where's My Money etc) and eventually heard my first Dubstep tune last year some time and have been in love with it ever since. I love the energy, the atmosphere and most of all the fact that when I hear it some of my internal organs switch places.
Magic.

s'appnin people, new to this kinda thing, from glasgow in scotland (scotland for those of you whos geography aint that great) - (some1 gonna give us more dubstep nights please ? or do i just not know any of them?)
joined here a while ago but really starting to get into dubstep, 1st heard it through fabriclive37 earlier this year and the sound has just captivated me, i keep wanting to hear more and more, so thought a forum like this would be the best place to feed my new found taste for the steppy dub and so far twould appear i was right
still liking alot of what rusko does, seems a bit more comercial and more my kinda thing, alot of my mates hate this kinda thing so time to get new chums
loving the bootleg of dire straight - money for nothing atm !!!!!
