Whilst - as a non smoker - i fucking hated smoking in clubs (waking up the next morning smelling of stale smoke and Bacardi Breezer was standard pre-ban)...I have to agree with the above statement. Half the club outside in the smoking area is as ridiculous as it is common.

That said...the smoking area is a great place to chat to women that you otherwise wouldn't have been able to (without awkward convos where 'please can we bone' was actually 'leave me alone').

smokin area's are a great place to chat, but from the point of view of a small club, its like this

start of the night, small crowd, few people stood on dancefloor, people on dancefloor feel kinda awkward head to smoking section, come back in, go to bar, dancefloor still empty, dancefloor stays empty until at least 50% more people enter the club, starts filling up, gets to around 12, one group on dancelfoor leaves for a cig, rest of the crowd follow not wanting to fill the hole left by the first group, a few remain, awkwardly getting down to the now more energetic sets

gets to 1, headliners on, everyone PILES back in to club for an hour, hour and a half, headliner comes off and everyone either rushes to the bar or outside for a cigarette and the room clears out, next dj comes on, decides to play more chilled tunes that playing hype stuff to an empty room for 10 minutes, half the initial crowd fuck off, the rest come back and its either too hype or too chilled and the nights dies

smaller nights did better when the flow of the night wasn't as rudely interrupted by half of their below average-size crowd disappearing and wrecking the flow of the night

basically if you have a 100-150 cap venue, and you fill it to 50-60, at least if everyone was inside the whole time people coming in didn't feel like they were walking into a dead night and would probably have stayed

I hope for his sake he doesn't succeed. Not worth it. Pretty dark it's so premeditated though and bragging about it.. deserves a crack for that.

Not worth ending a friendship over a bit of tail.

I doubt he will succeed 2bh, i think the girl was quite naive to his motives...
