Half of them didn't know what happened which was fine but the first question they asked was....

Why did they happen?

If i was in the their seat that would be what i'd ask how things are, do they need anything, etc, etc, etc.

Why does something like someones town being smashed to pieces always deserve a reason why it happened before they care... It pissed me off quite a bit really..
When I got mugged when I told people the first question was usually, Did they take anything?

I didn't give a fuck about the phone - I was just glad I didn't get my head caved in

I got attacked once walking back from the pub, three lads jumped me by Sainsburys cash point in Basingstoke at about midnight. Didn't get anything taken though. Had the shit kicked out of me, few broken ribs, black eyes to the point I couldn't get my contacts in the next day, but nothing taken. Had a brand new phone, wallet with about £70 in cash in it...but no, they just wanted to give someone a kicking.

where i jam theres been a few conspiracy's id say, like... the first day of the protest's when things turned sour they made no arrests which others gangs/groups realised then went on a terrorise the next few days damage would be caused and riot police called in allowing taxed to be raised and inclining the public towards armed police on the streets.

Basingstoke is about as a middle class and middle England as you can get. I moved there from North London (Harrow) when I was 7yrs old. Apparently my first words to my Mum on leaving my new school on the first day were "They're all white?"

Interesting theory. Now you've got to explain why they want to do that? What will be gained?

Increased funding for the police?

They're planning on making cuts aren't they?

^^Well, maybe they'll have to rethink that now.

BoJo has already challenged the Government on police cuts in London... but Cameron and the cabinet seem to be holding firm. Tbh, it's the entire culture of police that needs changing, not just the level of funding.

i havent given much thought at all but erm i suppose, with armed police the government will have a lot more control over the country and the people. plus because of whats just happened if they play their cards right people could easily be fooled into thinking if shit doesnt get beefed up the country will(which it is) get worse and the youths will kill everyone so they raise taxes to 'pay' for it all but the money gets sent elsewhere to pay for estabon to clean the PM's holiday home.

i dont knwo to be fair, i just thought of that now.

I was thinking conspiracy(ish). Police morale low, threatened with job cuts- riots/looting happen and Police can't be arsed getting hurt or getting in the shit for overreacting, sit back a bit and make it look like they are overwhelmed- but not so much that they are incompetent and need the army in.....next step- more police funding/no more Police cuts!

Conservative governments have a track history of increasing funds for the police while cutting other public sectors.... Just saying.

There are more police on the street and walking the beat than there have ever been. The police get enough money already. "morale is low..." - fuck off, you know what you are signing up for when you take the job.
