Agreed. Hot Chip's first album's great... they fell off badly though.

Their set in the sunshine at Dour in 2007 was one of my highlights of the weekend.

I dunno if I'd say they fell off badly. Defo fell off. Went from liking the whole of 'The Warning', to liking most of 'Made In The Dark' to liking the odd tune on 'Coming On Strong'.

Feel bad for Hot Chip though. Too electronic/dance-y to be taken seriously in the charts and make massive $$$, too big in the mainstream to be taken seriously by the underground. Proper niche band.

Ah, quite right too... I'd forgotten about Coming On Strong. The Warning was great. I just couldn't get into Made In The Dark and I haven't listened to anything after that. The Warning is just a perfectly crafted pop album for electronica nerds.
