Rogue

Pretty good as far as schlocky monster films go

Image
Blood Ties

Good cast, nicely filmed, story a bit on the limp side. Never really gets going.

Image
November Man

Standard spy film. Like a grumpy old Bourne.

Jodorowsky's Dune

I had seen Holy Mountain before, so I had some idea of the strange genius that is Jodorowsky..
but this documentary really paints a picture. Especially interesting is the huge influence this Dune production exerted without even being finished.

I'm not even a sci-fi fan, but I recommend this highly.

The potential that was that movie exhibited by that documentary is wtf. he recently showed Refn the book of stills, concepts etc who was blown away.

Indeed Salvador Dali was supposed to play the 'emperor' and Giger would do the set design and beast design right? like the stuff made of....good nightmares :6:
I read about it in one of Gigers art books. Don't think I want to entertain the thought any further... but it looks like Refn will be doing another Logans Run and that could be pretty sweet.. set design needs to become a thing again..

Giger made the docu really. Skin crawling way of talking that guy
Yeah he was going to do the art for House Harkonnen. Foss and Moebius made concept
art for the rest.

I thought that Refn remake was not going to happen? Could be good though.

Just watched as well, really funny at times and somewhat dark in others.

Looks like Thunderdome reimagined by Michael Bay.
