I can't get my soundcloud to accept uploads or I would let you listen first
But in this tune i sampled Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have A Dream" speech. Hope you guys like it
Not my usual taste in Dubstep, but I definatly appriciate what you have done here, it works well and the production elements are fantastic, especialy the drum build up after the first drop! Big ups...
sounds a bit ruff, not mixed very well (what is you mixing setup, monitors etc.)
The idea and vibe you are trying to get is very nice, the idea is very sweet.
I advice you to dig some some better drumsamples, and learn to use compression, and some other basic mixing stuff.
Really love the idea sound and the drumpattern is pretty good. Don't start on something else but read up some mixing tips (i could give you a bit of advice if you'd like) but really stick to this, try to polish and mix it up. I think you'll get something very good out of it!
Something really nice and interesting you have there. Very positive vibe i'm getting off it. Has some reaggae/jamican elements and that piano fluit thing (that's what i think it is at least) gives me a bit of a french/Paris/Eiffeltower-dubby vibes.
Mixing is pretty good and i love those hats man, very lively, present in the mix and at the same time very subtle.
This is some quality man!
I'll have a dig through the thread when I've my speakers on later...
Basic mixing is pretty solid. Maybe snare a bit more punch if you want the track to sound ruff and hard at least. That hat is a bit to "pitchy" if you know what i mean. Get some old rusty, crusty sounding hi hat to add a bit more ruffage and texture to your beat maybe? Vibe i'm getting is pretty good. Especially the beginning and that dubieus melody after the second drop are really dark and a bit mysterious. Altho it 'drops' too sudden imo. If i wouldn't have seen the waveforms on soundcloud thingy then i would have been very i think.
Overall very nice
Thanks for listening. I normally appriciate feedback and have thick skin when it comes to negative feedback but I dont get what you mean by better drum samples and learning compression?
^interesting hat work! i like it. Personally i think the beat needs more sounds are it needs to be thicker too.

Sorry if this is a double post, feeling a wee bit dozy this evening for some reason or other ^^
Still working on the ambiant one, but in the mean time, here's another grinder I knocked out in 3 nights. And yes, I know, mastering is a tragic issue, but until my boommega tax rebate comes in next week, awia speakers it is till then!!
Anyway, here's an almost out of newbdom after just over a year of producing now effort for myself. b movie samples and a self created nokia 78ihateyou800 shitty mobile phone into redrum into scream sample. Feedback as always is sweet
here the last one, never really finished up the mixup and some details.. will do this next week. i always feel like taking a break of at least 10 days before i finish up a tune.
first i liked that track a lot, but as usual, the day after it just didn't sound right. the intro is maybe to long. tho it was meat to be a long wierd intro.
anyway... Soundcloud
i like those little beeps and blips. hihats, as already mentioned are really interesting.
def there is an element missing. makes the track not look finished. anyway: looking forward for new stuff!

this is a huge one man! love the tricky rythm here. also the growling bass. nice hihats counted about 4 different sounding hihats. all of them fitting perfectly together.
vocals are just right! the break at 2:25 and the deep deep beat slowly walking into the bass is just wuah! would love to listen to this on a big system.
just heard minute 3:33, gets damn groovy with that beat!
this track is just between sweet melancholy and pure jauntily! may i ask for a 320 when its finished?
