I think that it goes without saying that everyone here has massive respect for what he has done and what he is doing now. Saying that, if I pay good money to see someone then I don't think that he should be turning up wrecked and putting on a shitty performance. It would be unacceptable in any other aspect of work so why is that it is acceptable for DJ? He is always going to pull a big crowd and he should play to the best of his abilities. Take some pride in what you do.

It's fine. To be fair you were fucking smashed as you'd been booked as a replacement for someone who pulled out, and you were brought in from Bloc weekender towards the back end of a night - hardly surprising you weren't on form. I'm not getting into an argument about it, that's not how I roll - but that's what I saw.

:?

EDIT: one of the other occasions was down to shit on stage monitoring. As for the third.. an off day? Someone link me a banging Skream live mix and prove me wrong... :deephouse party:

i want to hear tunes i ain't ever heard...twice. maybe 3 times. i could give a shit about mixing. for all i care, if dude is playing dub after dub, he could be doing it on 1 deck.

i ain't on e or any of that shit...my goal isn't to melbourne shuffle til my ankles bleed. i jus want to hear new shit when i go see a dj. that's what dubstep is about, imo.
Interesting opinion. I wouldn't pay to see a DJ who is only using one deck though :)
u ever seen DJ Craze???? 1 deck master!!!!!

ps. though never in a million years could anyone make an ep or whatever it is as good as Freeizm 3! It is the ultimate masterpiece in my eyes!

ps2. why has MissBrass gone quiet all of a sudden after having so much to say? Did she realise what an idiot she sounded like? What do you contribute to the scene exactly... waiting for response with baited breath??!!!

Really? Ducking out? Not really.

I'm offering a bit of insight as to why my experiences of seeing Skream have all been bad.

The fact still remains, I have still seen him 3 times, they have all been bad - and I have still seen him coached off stage after not getting through his first mix after 4 attempts / rewinds.

Other DJs played that night on the same rig and did ok

Nuff said.

Caught Skream with Benga in Melbourne a few years back and it was a fucking awesome show, vodka, microphone antics and all!

I was generally disappointed because I love Skream's music but all night he looked like he didn't give a fuck about entertaining fans, just being a troll. Did I just catch him on a bad night or is he usually a terrible performer?
I thought the exact same thing. He's obviously a boss why does he have to act like that

I was on stage the whole time and youre absolutely wrong. There were a lot of dubstep's most important on that stage and we were ALL joking around, mostly celebrating our success since we've all known each other for years. To the audience it may have looked like he was trying to ruin the vibe but it was just horsing around.
Uhhhhhh sorry to burst your bubble MissBrass but all you've done for the scene is provided some pics for someone's wank bank in the SNH.

First time we had Olly in Seattle, by the end of his set his was right pissed. No one cared much here, we were all lit as fuck as well!
We had him out a 2nd time and he made sure he rocked Seatown proper and totally redeemed himself!!

Hey Skream my boy, remember you and I and with Ed & Op at Shambhala?
Fucking epic night!

Skream is one of the nicest producers I have ever had the pleasure to meet, his songs are by far THE best for consistency, his Freeizms, his Skreamizms! He loves a beer! I met him in the Jack Daniels tent at Benicassim ffs. I've seen him 2/3 times. He caused a riot at Benicassim which was mental. To the guy who said he saw him 3 times and was shit, why go the 2nd/3rd? I don't want answer btw. That was rhetorical.

Skream = God.

Time's ive seen skream in brighton he's been poor, there was one time when he played audio and he wasnt that bad. BUT he was meant to play a set with benga at concorde2 last october and the bum didnt even turn up benga had to apologise for the no-show. I think Skream's an amazing producer.....im not gonna say anything against that, the man just cant handle his drink lol, he dissapoints a lot of people who pay GOOD money to see HIM. what a lightweight.
