@kes es. Real nice production on these tracks. good levels over all. also i think the first track works well at this lenght. I like the fact that both tracks never get boring, there both intresting through out.
@arisemprex . I really like the intro on this a lot. I think it would make a cool track on its own. Also nice guitar in the track. Am intrested in hearing the vocal version.

@filthy For the next few weeks just work on your drum game. Google parallel compression, really make your drums stand out. Rest of the track sounds nice, the drums just sound a bit like they came from fruity loops. Hope this helps. OH.. And The download for that track you like will be available in a few weeks or i have it available for download now on my reverbnation account. /trackmedix. You will have to add me to be able to download. Once again thanks for the comment

Hello gentlemen, I'm pH-14, and I'm new here!
I didn't see an introduction-topic or something like that, so I'll just start posting right away.
This is an older track (finished it 2 months ago i think), and it is what you guys call "brostep" so i don't know if people here will really appreciate it, but I'm still curious about your opinions!
http://soundcloud.com/ph14/gabe-newell
@ naw:
Nice percussion in the intro, but that pad is a bit annoying. The drop sounds good though the bass is kinda "simple" maybe... Anyway, I did enjoy the track overall so gj!
@ retto
Sigma fly:
The vocals are really cool, but the track is just a bit too minimalistic and repetitive. Great atmosphere
Brixton:
Awesome shit, but just like your other track too repetitive. And the vocal gets a bit annoying after a while
Cheers

Just listened to the track titled: "TheDevilWearsCastrato"
That song was loud noises. It completely changed styles like 5 times which made it pretty incoherent and difficult to sit through. I do see where you were going with it, but it isn't there. The bass was overwhelming which turned it into a brostep extravaganza that hurt my ears. It needs far more finesse and shouldn't be about trying to bend the listeners ears over and fuck them with overwhelming bass. Don't take this personally, I just decided to pick a random track on this page and critique it.
So what you're saying is you want more changes? And more bass, right?
Don't take this personally...
1 post, really?
Where's all your tracks? I'd like the opportunity to return the favor...

Just because I don't produce doesn't mean that I don't have good taste in music or that I can't critique your music. Implying that one needs to be a producer in order to appreciate or to not appreciate a certain track communicates that you are too arrogant to take somebody not liking your music. I think you need to dismount from your high horse and see the radioactive STD that your music gave my ears.
i think you need to get off your high house, read the fucking rules of the thread and contribute like someone that doesn't carry them selves like a neanderthal.
I fail to see how I am carrying myself like a "neanderthal." I was merely being harsh in my review for one of the songs I happened to listen to on the page. The responses that resulted from my post were anything but sophisticated or educated, and didn't make the situation any better.
I think that you, sir, need to calm down and stop flaming. People have differing opinions, if you don't like my opinion or the way in which I express my opinion, then I believe that is your problem.
You must be a fucking nightmare in person. Both insecure and self-righteous... *Shudder*
This being your first post means you joined, lurked or didn't lurk the forum, but felt so strongly about tearing down someone that made "brostep", that you rushed in to this section and did exactly that. What a sad life you must have. Why are you even in the producing section if you don't produce? Were you beaten as a child? Small genitals? Maybe someone who loved brostep publicly humiliated you? Or no, more likely you would like nothing more than to try your own hand at production, but a lack of talent and drive leave you to tear down other working artists, on the internet no less. Fight your battle sir! One inane forum post at a time! One day, maybe you can win over the "ear-raping" vermin that is "brostep".
Funny thing is, I don't only write Aggy shit.
Your actions speak so loud sir, I can't hear what you're saying.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. Most of the criticism was rather helpful, much appreciated. I wrote a piece at the end over the long repetitive bit, and am actually gonna rebuild the song around THAT, perhaps scrapping the hard/main section. I have a tendency to write something that WORKS, but I'm not entirely happy with. I then leave this in the sequencer long enough and eventually settle and build a part that goes after it. Soon enough it's a song, but one which I know isn't quite right, or quite up to its potential or whatever. Anyways, thanks to those of you whose feedback was in the vein of helpfulness. That's (normally) what I enjoy about posting my tracks in this forum. Heads will tell it to you straight, but without twisting the knife unnecessarily.

@Kes-Es: I really like that track. Space and Bass all DAY! That high pitched synth is SOOoooo money. And the digi-hats, they were a good choice...
@GeneralCracka: Nice concepts in there. I think it could use a switchup or two, but as to what you have there: its nice. I just listened to it again, and this is one that gets better after a couple listens. There's alot going on, but it all seems to be pushing the track along. Nice one...
@Karma_blitz: I have no idea if it's on my end or what, but your track loads slower than molasses in the arctic. I actually haven't been able to listen to it, which is a shame, cuz you've gotten a lot of great feedback... I wanted to see what all the fuss was about.
@Aez: Your pads are killing it. One thing I'll say, as this is one that drives and drives and drives, maybe have a dropout section where the pads fall away and you've got just drums and sub going, or just drums. I dunno, you said you didn't know where to go from here, just tossing ideas about...

Ah yeah Grime, I was thinking about dropping off to some drums/pads/sub along with a nice clean guitar melody or solo. We play all the music live, Ima work on it today, hopefully I'll have it done by tomorrow. I'm really happy to hear positive things from you guy. This forum always helps ^^

Hey everyone. I've been gone for a while. Just bought a new guitar so dub hasn't really been my focus recently.
Anywhoo, knocked this up in the last hour or so:

Any advice on how to take it forward would be sweet cheers
I WILL give feedback (as usual) tomorrow, but I'm off out for a few drinkypoos right now. Expect some constructive criticism tomorrow fellow "dubheadz" (HATE that phrase)
PEACE

@arisemprex: Nah, that was for Aez, I'd missed your track. Listening now... I like the rock structure/sensibility. And the Eastern vibes of the notes you're hitting with the guitar... But yes, dropping off to some drums/pads/sub sounds nice... The strictly drum bit at the end: I see what you're going for, but it feels a bit sparse. Spice it up with something or other... As to the mixdown, things sound a bit mushy at times, try cutting low mids a touch and/or paring your elements down to their most important freq's... Also, I think this track could perhaps benefit from some well placed echo/dub-delay/feedback loopy bits... Just a thought

Oops, I meant killing it, as in, are sounding very nice. NOT killing the track. i.e. sounding like shit

thanks man, I was thinking something like that yeah...lol Sorry...for some weird reason (2 bowls) i thought you said aris emprex...lmao. i shouldnt be medicated this early in the morning...
As for the mixing down. Im still learning, so i appreciate that, Im trying to get this down. Almost all of my tunes have some rock guitar elements in it....I figured id write my music like i used to write my music for my bands...its fun]
*EDIT*
The end bit of that track is just excess, I didnt cut it off...was mainly concerned about the guitar/bass for now

i love the track man, intro's so cool and that bass is proper mean! liking the guitar too but im
not sure if it's my speakers but the drums seem to loose it's life as soon as the bass hits, maybe try some more compression on the drums to get them pumping and loud? other than that i cant wait to hear the finshed article!

Dreamy buildup, very nice! The vocal fits very well with the atmosphere of the track.
My fourth or fifth day in the dubstep producing scene woho, getting to learn the Massive Vst better and better! I'd like some feedback on this which iam currently playing with, my idea is to have it in a intro or something. What do you think?
