Millenium Music Hall is clossing down with pretty much imediate effect
Meaning that FWD>> Vs Rinse has been cancelled this Sunday and lots of other events.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-sout ... s-13547994 <<Check the news report, actually says in it that Sunday is cancelled.
Another venue bites the dust, Marco Carola and Friends was there in a few weeks aswell, thats what im mostly gutted about, you dont get to see a DJ like that every day, especially in Cardiff
BBC News
"We have had to completely cancel our bank holiday party on Sunday but have managed to re-arrange the others thanks only to the compassion shown from other venues who were willing to move other events around to accommodate us.
"As Cardiff is not a city spoilt for choice for larger live gig venues, it is a real disappointment and we now have to seriously consider how we'll continue to provide the same high spec shows like we have done at the Millennium Music Hall."
No-one at the venue was available for comment, but a statement on its website said: "We are currently re-scheduling some of our events in June.
"This is due to issues relating to a planned move of premises. All tickets purchased will remain valid for any re-scheduled events."

Edit; just read

Charity fundraiser with bumping tunes on the CAI's funktion 1 anyone?
Should be awesome. Charity mini festival thing in cardiff this sunday called Safe as Sound. Raising money for Safer Wales, its one night with live music and DJ's in buffalo bar (including my lass's band - alphabet backwards...who are for all intents and purposes, very amusing) then a DJ lineup at the Cardiff Arts Institute with all sorts of local homegrown bass factories such as Joe Bloe, the king regards, soul smoke sessions...and myself! Im over the moon stoked, funktion 1 rig + the most bumping selection of tunes ive ever had. Awesome.
So yeah, only a few quid for each venue or 7 I think for both. Will be most entertaining. Tempted to offer money to anyone who has the ability to stand still throughout my set...

Hopefully turnout is better than that of Kode 9. Dubstep isn't doing well around the Diff atm

I'm glad the turnout was good. Need more Dubstep in the diff though and crowds to pick up (for this to happen)!

Yeah I was shocked at the turnout. Thought it was gonna be half full. There were enough people in there when Darkhouse Fam were on (who absolutely merked it), but it proper filled out about midnight.
Was good seeing massive crowd reactions to all the hip-hop, garage and house that was being dropped. It's not what you really expect in Cardiff
