What are the best elements of it?

Seen a few cheeky videos of alpha play online and it looks boss!

Everything feels very balanced and right. There doesn't appear to be any dominant guns or classes at the moment, each one has a role and does it well. The sound.... man the sound is as good as a Hollywood blockbuster. Full 7.1 audio-cinematic with extremely high quality recordings. Bullets ricochet over your head at angles and the sound pans with it from front left to rear right to front right. The lighting....

Battlelog is a bit wank and there's plenty of glitches and annoyances. I don't like the menu system either, it's a bit clumsy. Also it can feel quite unresponsive at times. But it is only an Alpha

been watching some youtube gameplay.. look's incredible
edit: oh yeh, i agree with you firky. All of dice's sound design is incredible.

The graphics really aren't amazing on the Alpha. They're good and very smooth but they're about on par with MW2 at the moment. It's important to remember the trials are to test the net code, not the graphics. The videos you have see and the trial it's self are very much dumbed down, even the destruction is turned off, you can't map your own keys, alter graphics settings etc. It just doesn't exist yet or is switched off.

The hitboxes on it are sweet as fuck. BTW. No more getting shot around a corner.

Right, just checked my email to find that i've been invited to the alpha trial. Only problem is i don't have a pc that can run this game so i figure i could give it to anyone on the forum that wants it. I'll do a first come first serve thingy.

how do i get an alpha code? do i need steam or something. I mean if i did find out a way to get an alpha code, would i need steam. or do you get a download straight from them or something.

aka ea's we renamed our decent download manager added steam like features, but it's still a hot mess
installing the alpha via it last night i got 2 false trojan positives (then agaian this is ea so might have been real )

Trojans? What AV are you running. My AV kept quiet.

My first game I finished top with 20/6

I didn't have 'origin' or anything.. i suppose it could have been the fact that i was registered with EA's servers and have been playing pretty much all the other battlefield's before 3

yea just had another go and got killed like mad
despite being in the real army and using real run and gun tactics, DO NOT SOLO in this game
thw lack of a ill cam of who got you makes it so much better
think i got 1 shot on guy who sniped me trying to get to my squad
god i love playing as assault but it seems to have changed from as much of a support squad as it was

yea something tells me im gonna have to rethink being assault lol
seems like it's no longer rush recon and resupply class

It's much harder to play BF3 stoned than it is BC2 :\
