Depone, why are so many of your audio files muted in the first pic?

Those were some vocals I recorded with some friends that we didn't use on the final mix

you use garageband?
wow, haha props for making that tune for the one week thing, that was good.
Definitely invest in logic, it works a lot like garageband

Think of it being garageband without any limitations and a more pro set of features.

'Limitations breed creativity'
Dude doesn't need logic immediately if he's getting work done in garage band.

Yeah but although this may be true, GarageBand is...pretty horrible.
He makes great tunes in it, so I think upgrading to logic, in this case, would widen the opportunities/potential of his tracks a lotttt more.

If you can sequence audio in it and get it the way you want there's no reason to update.
That's how you fall into the forum race headspace

Yeah but theres more you can do with it, and that opens up possibilities simply not accessible in GarageBand.
And I think you know that, you're just sort of doing a devils advocate thing

Possibilities like what?
More choice in effects/instruments doesn't translate to more possibilities.
I can't see adding half a dozen different reverbs making a huge impact ya know?
i just think it's a pretty common trap these days.
There's a million forum heads with all the gear/software they can find and then there's those people who put it to shame with an audio editor and some freeware.

I'd have to say you both have valid points.
Too many options in plugins can really dampen your workflow, unless you're very decisive and an expert with all your plug ins.
Its nice to just work with what you've got currently and not have to worry about if you chose the right compressor or eq or delay plug or whatever.
With limited options you get right to the point. That point being making music.

Yeah nah, didn't want to get into a whole thing.
hxczach's point about getting to the point is on point, think that was my point.
Don't get something without knowing what you want it for.
end derailment
