Here is a video I have made for
Pinch & Shackleton - Rooms Within A Room

I created by shooting footage and also using filmed, treated archive and reshot early cinema.
Been quite a delay on this video due to endless hours lost to rendering, and other pressure from my ma course.
making a video for these guys has been a treat - respect due.

Please let me know how you feel about the video....

nice one
gerry.
blessed is the sound of the operator

Im not trying to hate, pinch and shackleton have been absolute favorites of mine since i got into the sound.... But am i the only one who thinks that almost anything pinch or shackleton has released independently is of a higher quality than this? i pre-ordered my copy without even bothering to preview it. im just slightly underwhelmed

it's not quite as accessible as the rest i suppose... imo though, it's ridiculously good.

fair, sometimes i have to give music a couple of listens for it to click... probably the case with this one

i guess that sentiment was just my first impression

Well I have to be honest, and I wasn't really that impressed with it either the first time that I listened to it.
It's not bad, but I think that I was expecting more of it, let's put it that way.

But maybe it's a grower and I have to listen to it again a couple of times. We'll see.

Really feeling Levitation, the synths in the second bit of it are so melancholy, reminds me a lot of Blood on My Hands.
If this is the future, it seems highly livable: shiny, cool and comfortably dissonant. Like a low dose of ketamine in an empty, luminous airport hall in northern Japan, eating avocado and waiting for the universe to arrive.
