Woken up by my best buddy and neighbor. He said the twin towers and the pentagon had been hit. There was a long time I didn't understand what he was saying. Experienced a kind of giddyness that something was happening, anything. It is not with pride that I say I/we, most of us? expected something like this, or worse?

Watched the news all day.

Day ended with me clawing at the phone lines trying to get my brother on the phone. Got him finally.

was in idk 5th grade or so?
got back from school, saw it on tv, was unbelieveably pissed off that it was on every channel cause i wanted to watch cartoons. went to the kitchen made a huge bowl of corn flakes and waited for the normal program to resume. after the second plane hit the towers i was like 'fuck this' and went in my room to play pokemon.

i also remember being extremely annoyed at how shocked my mom was, it seemed retarded to me since she never cared before when there were tragedies on the news.

Yeah that was horrible. I have a strange affinity with Japan so I hated seeing that on the news. Fair play, though, with the exception of the reactors they cracked on with it in a very civilised way and got shit sorted quick sharp.
