Wow. This is why the police shouldn't be routinely given guns.

However in Italy I once saw a uniformed police officer in a cafe, smoking a cigarette, drinking a beer with his gun out of his holster on the table behind him. He was pretty badass.

Saw same kinds of thing in Juneau Alaska. Full on uniformed, in the bar drinkin.

Not even close. Duggan was a known wrong'n... I'm sure the police had plenty of reason to try and detain him. They just didn't have a good enough reason to shoot him, but still... he was shot by the only people in the country that have any right to shoot at anyone on a British street. His acquitted killer at least had a uniform and badge, it's hardly a nosey neighbour killing a minor because he believes he's doing society a favour... that'd be evidence of British society falling apart at the seams.
