That's the first time I've seen anything from a skrillex show/set/gig/whatever, and that looks like my idea of hell. What is with the constant "WOOOO"s man? Why would you even pay to go and see somebody you don't like just to throw stuff? LOL at Skrillex saying "I have a bruise on my rib now". Hahahahahaha.

I'm only 13, but I'd really like to "get big" or in the very least make a living off of music. I like old dubstep and new dubstep, but honestly by the time I'm old enough to actually give my songs to a label, it'll probably be something else thats all the rage.
Point is, I dont think just making music you love will necessarily get you noticed. From my understanding, you really have to push it on people, and even then it may not be the new fresh thing, and could amount to nothing.
I try to make lots of different types of music, and I would never try to make a song that I didn't like just so I could get signed/get big. This attitude may end up with me NOT getting signed, at which point, fuck it I'll try to make a living off of DJing and make music in my free time.
Anyways what I am saying is that the whole idea that "if you make music you love you'll get noticed" is false, IMO.
