dunno if its because im stoned or because ive just been feeling the music ive been spinning for the past couple of hours but i went and threw Smelly by Bogeyman into Eteched Headplate.

The mix wasnt brilliant but that eery intro kinda worked. bit of echo and the a fade out and the whole vibe changed.

fuck i love mixing

Am I the only one who can NEVER beatmatch Mala - Changes properly? This is an aside, I know "Change" and "Changes" are two separate tunes.

i can't do it from the edge like some people i've heard but it's loads easier if you start from when the bass drum comes in like in this mix:
Soundcloud

Yeah, I could do that... honestly it's such an anthemic tune you could just echo out a track then roll "Changes" in from the start. When those vocals come up, everyone knows what time it is.

2nd drop of mala - miracles > vivek - out of reach

Yeh i know what you mean, like it sounds fine then the vocal starts and it sounds too fast. All i do is mix it so the first vocal sounds a bit slow but when the beat properly drops it mixes nicely. changes/forgive is 1 of the best dubstep records proper nice :4:
Oh a mix i remember working nicely was burial arch angel and heny g arena1 or retro love on gangsta boogie the 1 with the kinda allmost wobble like beat. I'm shit at remembering track names. thats another dubstep 12in i love both tracks of. Just got a second copy of each recently.

I feel like Goblin is a tune built to simply smash in there. I think it goes pretty well 4 bars into the second drop of Jah War.

My favourite mixes atm:

Dismantle - Destroy ->
Joker - Gully Brook Lane
nobody will be prepared for that unreal sub to drop. Gives me shivers everytime I hit it.

Biome - Propaganda ->
DatA - Fall of Phaeton ->
Lurka - Forgotten Ones
seriously, try it. Sick vibes.

Mala - Forgive ->
Mala - Lean Forward
heard Mala do this once. Crowd went nuts.

Vivek - Danger ->
Vivek - Soundman ->
Vivek - Spread Love
as done by the man himself on a mix cd.

Kahn - Stop Me Dead ->
Kode9 - Magnetic City
for some chill-out sessions. I guess it works really well for me because I love both tunes as much as I do.

Any thoughts on Buckwild yet?

Cheers.

Everytime i've heard Goblin out its been pulled straight away, so i've never really noticed a particularly nice blend or anything. Not that sort of tune imo, better just coming out of nowhere.

Much more important is mixing out of it.
