By now everyone will have heard that Bloc 2012 was closed due to crowd safety concerns.
We are all absolutely devastated that this happened, but the safety of everyone on site was paramount.
Given the situation on the ground, we feel that it was the right decision to end the show early.
Bloc will not open on Saturday 7th July so please don’t come to the site.
Stand by for full information on refunds.
sucks man i'd be gutted if i was down there

that was annoying. Enjoyed what I saw though. Deadboy, twilliamsb2bdusky, midland, nicolas jarr, then it went downhill.
Mala playing one tune then stopping cos of technical, got bored waiting so went to the boat to see oneman. Waited outside of it from 9.30ish till 12. Ended up paying £60 for a taxi home.
Staff got power mad while trying to sort everyone out, saw one of them snatch someones phone.
Heard they sold 5000 tickets over, probably bollocks though.

Feel sorry for the guys trekking from ages away. Feel slightly sorry for the Bloc guys, as they seem sort of alright but this is going to rightfully hit them hard.

Lol this is hilarious. Feel bad for the people there, no sympathy for the organisers tho. Massively poor planning by the sounds of it

really glad i didn't go. few of my mates went and said it was an absolute joke, couldn't get in anywhere, didn't see anything. wtf have the organisers done for this to go so wrong??? apparently they were just letting in anyone at one stage whether they had a ticket or not... good job it didn't properly kick off i guess

I've heard that too, apparently when the queue to get in started getting really big they didn't even check tickets and were just slapping wristbands on people. Have also heard that they were giving people with day tickets wristbands for the whole weekend instead at one point, some security bloke not realising that some people were there just there for the day and so needed different wristbands!
Stoked I went last year and didn't bother this year. As soon as I they announced it would no longer be at Butlins I declared Bloc dead. Now it looks like it will really die!
Feel really bad for the people who flew over for this from afar.

What's the story behind this? Did they oversell tickets?
