Sachin Tendulkar's visiting one of our offices in India today as some sort of ambassador to the company. They're all getting a speech from him, but nobody's allowed an autograph - bit mean!!

I'm guessing it's because everyone will want an autograph and it'd take him all day to sign them all. The guy is like a demi-god in india!

He really is a demi-god.
Poor guy can only go out at midnight with his family to avoid being lynched.
Imagine magma's system face greeting poor old Sachin.

Its probably because I used to live in India till about 5 years ago but I can't seem to support England at all lol.

and yeah to be perfectly honest I would not wanna be tendulkar man. it aint like being gerrard over here and getting into a casual pub brawl now and then when you're the greatest cricketer in India is it

Awesome weather, good cricket, good beer, good company and a small fight back from NZ.
Can't really complain.
The game should be over today.
I can't see NZ facing our bowling onslaught again.

And there it is folks.
Another resounding victory for SA.

Steyn and the SA bowlers are on fire.

my surname is a homophone of Dhoni
so I'll occasionally ask a call centre worker from India whether they know my cousin Mahendra
and they'll politely ignore my claim or remain silently confounded
but, the other day, for the first time, the caller actually laughed
and we had a nice, long chat about Mahendra being a gentleman & McGrath having been our best bowler.

@EH: SA deffo currently #1...too hard-headed for our current celebrity mentality

What does this even mean?
SA cricketers are too hard headed for Australia's celebrity mentality?

me? not understandable?

yeah, Steyn & crew, with that SA tenacity, just wouldn't lie down in last series
even when Oz was in the box seat & thought they'd romp it in
Michael Clarke doesn't (yet?) have the dour persistence of a Steve Waugh or Alan Border
but then, Ricky Ponting had to learn it too.
Myriad, unnecessary team changes aren't helping either...pretty easy to get an Oz cap at the moment; just wait your turn.
