It's alright imo, as he said, it was all very last minute and given out like 1 hour after finishing one of the tracks, so it's supposed to be like a fill I guess between his last ep and the next. He did say 1-2 years ago that he listened to burial and really liked him, so not really surprising to me

Kyoto is the only tune of his I can respect as a mindless dubstep floor tune

He is LEAVING his protective shell of making the same old music and trying new things. That is THE REASON why he is telling us this through music and feeling, not words or statements. He just wants to let go of the SCARY BOLLY DUB and be himself.

Ugghh that is horrible. All his music is just so soulless and also basically contains every single horrible trait of current production styles. Not to mention he appears to be completely un-able to create any sense of groove.

It's also aesthetically incredibly unappealing.

He really does deserve all the hate (even if half of it is for the wrong reasons). This post describes the tune in the original post if I'm honest too.

pretty weak tracks. not completely horrible. the production is clean. I suppose I like "Leaving" the most. as a long time fan of the music that came to be known as future garage...i don't get the vibe that i'll ever have the urge to seek these songs out again. i'm not a skrillex hater, he's made some awesome and memorable stuff. i don't even know the purpose of putting out that 'scary dolly dub' track. that really felt like just tossing out some extra junk for release, but, i guess hardcore fans would be into that. And when it comes to Burial emulation no one sounds more like him than Volor Flex. It's almost identical but almost too perfect...it lacks burials natural 'do it by ear' style. Also, if you're into deep dark vibes like this and you havent heard Holy Other, check it out. This dude actually changed the sound to his own style and it's completely hypnotic.

the drums on Leaving are so bad. Maybe this could be because I'm so used to Burial drums lol
