The black cat, the boy cat has been absolutely terrorizing our orange long hair. They are indoor only, but he has some serious cabin fever anyway. I've tried the bird on the stick toy AND the laser pointer...he is still twitchy. :u:

Random idea...Reverse ducking. Like instead of having how you would with sidechaining where something 'drops' whenever the kick hits, have it do the opposite and only play when the kick hits, give a nice long release on the sidechaining device and you have this bed of lo-fi snap crackle & goodness that only plays when triggered by a drum.

Could even automate the release on the sidechain to vary the response times over the course of a track.
Got some nice results with this, will post it if anyone is interested

BTW dudes, I did that reversed sidechaining with some vinyl noise in my last remix. Worked a treat with Peak Controller. Sent all the channels I wanted it on to one bus, threw a limiter on so the signal was constant and then used that to control the volume of a 2nd channel with a vinyl noise generator on (izotope), then EQ:d to get the bits I wanted. Example below but the track ended up being not so mellow as I'd originally thought so it's not really that audible since I filled it up with a bunch of other shit. But it's easy to pull of and sounds pretty cool. Used it on the kick and snare anyway.

Big up on that tune. Kinda reminds me of Stereo MCs. I can hear the peak controller doing it's thing a bit.

Cheers mate. Kinda feeling the Stereo MC's thing now that you mentioned it. A little, hah.

BTW, speaking about vinyl, that sample pack that Mad EP posted is gold, used that a lot in this tune as well. Great stuff, in case you dudes missed that.

You talking that vinyl noises sample pack MadEP did? If so, I also rinse the shit out of that. I'll have to upload some vinyl noise.

I'm going to be recording a sample from my Mopho of detuned saw waves for someone. Any one be interested in a little Mopho sample pack?

Yeah, I'd love some real deep ones that go into the sub range if you could...

MadEPs vinyl samples make it into most of my tracks tbf even my bro/electro-y stuff, a lot of the time it's inaudible... but it' there ;)

I might actually record some samples of my own this weekend since I picked a few old dusty vinyls over Christmas, will upload if I get round to it.

^Sure. I'll do like a bar long note of C2 C3 and C4 with Triangle, Pulse and Saw. How does that sound? I'll fiddle w/ the low pass filter a bit and make sure you get some subby goodness.

I think I promised you guys a little kick drum pack from the M.Base a long while back now too. Have to get that sorted for you.
