i think we should enforce the rule that you have to give feedback to get feedback or it'll be exactly like the dubs section, bare people just pluggin themselves

CN wrote:Legendary, I like the warp on that wobble that breaks it up a bit its nice. The glitchy drums are nice too but i dunno i think i would add some more drum layers or variations of some of them. The way the beat goes 4x4 towards the end is nice too.
Have a listen to some of my tunes if you get the chance>

Cheers.
ez - sorry kinda slept on this thread as been busy helping Lienne with the new sample contest ..
Decent - Its alright not enough going on though, some off beat hits would be nice, kicks snappier in the mid range to give it more clout and more high end stuff some more energy in those drums.
Sputnik - would say the same apart from the off beat hits .. Deffo some more high end stuff and energy or maybe just make it a bit more deeper and darker get a big BOOM sub in there at the start of 4s, get a nice big kick and snare in there. And variation
Enjoy The Slience Remix - Same as above.. Theres just lacking to much - nice bass sounds and the snares really nice (maybe a little thin) but the kicks not got enough "kick in the chest" to it. Not enough variation and not enough going on - I mean minimal is good but kick, snare, hats and bass and a pad is a bit TO minimal.
Sorry if this seems like bad criticism or insulting but theres a lot of potential in all of the tracks I listened too - just the tracks are a bit to thin and TO empty at the moment.

Finished this one - probably my best produced track in my opinion..
Edit : Wow - soundcloud really killed the quality on this one

@ legend4ry:- i like it once it drops, my only crit would be that maybe you could have done a bit more with the intro. but overall, a well produced piece and very nice vibe

Wows hear that from you thats quite a achievement on my part - yeah I thought the intro lacked a bit theres some volume automation for all the things what come in after the drop apart from the bass maybe I should turn them up a tiny bit in the intro - hehe they're my worse part of my tunes they're either to basic or not basic enough

Thats a lot better man! Big ups - now with all this high end stuff maybe get a higher wobble following the mid one to make it sound more full? Just a idea hehe
Sounds great though big ups!

Think i'm gona start posting under this name from now on to get my tunes a bit more exposure - some of you might know me from the name i usually use of 'jackieboi'.
LEGENDARY - Can really notice a difference in the production compared to some of the other stuff on your soundcloud. The mix is pretty tight - even for soundcloud the overall mix sounded pretty heavy. I think the intro was a bit boring, maybe would have added something else in after 8 bars then changed it up a little before the first drop. First drop i wasnt too keen on but fuck me the 2nd one was sick - wasnt expecting it at all i think it would go down well in a set.
THE GOOD DOCTOR - that wdm tune is daaaaark. Really liked the ideas youve got in it but i think its pretty messy sounding, think some serious eqing needs to be done especially towards the end cos the bass just takes over everything.
PYRO RACEY - really liked your drums there, they were very simple but yet i didnt find them being too static at all. The bassline was a bit weak but i liked tha way you changed it up in the last part of the song. Think the drums you had were just asking to have a rowdy wobbly throaty type of bassline but thats just my opinion. The song seemed to be missing something as well - i'm not exactly a big fan of pads myself so not necessarily pads but just something else on top of the bassline.
3 good tunes all with good and bad points to them i think! All in all enjoyed them all.
Heres my submission for the rabble to tear apart. Not too sure you's will like this unless your into your electro house type of stuff. Its my first attempt at something like this before and i think its a pretty good first try! Vocal needs sorted in the mix and the placement needs fixed but its alright at the moment for a rough idea. Any opinions on it much appreciated!

MiscreanT- your tune has funk, to say the least!
dont wanna comment too much on the mix on these headphones but i think the hi hats could sound clearer, and i don't know if it's just these but the kick could be a little stronger as well
the synths are quite trippy which i like, and the rhythm is quite bouncy which i'm feelin
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
got a MIDI version of a dub track on my virb and myspace in the sig, can't remember if i posted it or not actually, don't think so

ye MiscreanT that tunes sick...2nd drops a lot the way it kinda drops off beat. tbh i think the kick is live, its got a lot of bass weight behind it, the only thing i could maybe say production wise is the hats "could" be louder but then im kinda in two minds if that would even sound better, would have to hear it. great track neway. here's 1 of mine, not got a name yet tho. in the myspace player

Cheers for the feedback boss!
Checked your tunes out. Like the vibes in cheating fire, i've been having a go at some really dubby type of stuff recently but havent got my head round it yet - like your sounds in that tune Dont sound too synthetic like a lot of dub style tracks i hear nowadays. Got a nice balance between electronic and natural sounding effects, bass is realy nice was it sampled?

Cheers for the feedback beerz! Yeah i think the kicks alright too - tried my first tune using sidechain compression, i can notice a difference now its just about getting my technique right.
That untitled tune is sick man i'm listneing to it through headphones cos my dad will kick my tnuc in if i start blasting dubstep riddims at this time of night but i like the tune and the bass sounds phat through the headphones anyway!, think you could make it twice as long and have more of a drop as well so its like: Deep sub deep sub deep sub DROPPLE DROPPLE DROPPLE deep sub deep sub etc
