Don't really want to read 6 pages of posts, so I'll just leave my opinion. At the moment I prefer Jungle/D&B, but I see more potential in Dubstep than the other genres. So I wouldn't be surprised if sometime in the future I end up liking dubstep as a whole more than the other genres. We'll see.

i will say when jungle/dnb first came to my attention, it interested me A LOT more than dub does these days... it felt fresher and more unique and the producers at the time really shook things up.

its hard to compare cos jungle has had such a massive head start and time to develop as a genre.

i really hate the direction it jungle taken since the late 90s and into the 2000s with the jump up crap and all. i'd rather listen to 2009 dubstep than 2009 dnb, but early stuff will always have a special place in my heart.

DNB is obviously better because if you say it's not it will throw you down the stairs

seeing as dubstep is an offshoot of garage, imo a better option for the poll would have been Garage vs DnB, as you are not being specific about what type of dnb you mean, why are you being specific about the type of garage?

garage also came from house and drum & bass/jungle came from hardcore and hardcore came from (acid) house as well

dubstep is a genre in it's own right now...shops have a dubstep section
