Swear I'm cursed when it comes to watching Fellini films, always an issue. Tried watching La Strada last night and the subtitles were all over the place timing wise and essentially a poor job (a few words for severel sentences of dialogue) so I just gave up. Maybe I should just get a Fellini boxset

Have to sleep on the floor in a spare room in my parent's house tonight, turned on the TV and let some HBO selections rinse over me.

1. Final Destination
-Saw it in theaters when it came out in the early 00's, I actually enjoyed it more than I thought I would this time around. The early 00's vibes gave me feelings of nostalgia and and heavy sense of surrealism that is impossible to recreate these days imo.
2. Last Patrol
-as a whole i think this documentary failed on many levels, it was very tangential and lost focus regularly. On the flip-side, it had some truly great character moments and some of the camera work and still photos were great. Also there was an insanely cute dog throughout the feature that kept me watching
3. Evil Dead (the new one)
-I grew up loving evil dead 1/2 and army of darkness. I had low expectations going into this reboot and I thought that might help me enjoy it more. I was wrong, this movie is just bad. Found myself picking up my phone to mindlessly scroll through my FB feed many times during the parts I watched. I also went outside for several cigarettes and made noodles during the 'film'. You tell they tried to pay certain homage to the original films but they were so off base that it just felt awkward. It was like the producers of the remake watched a few youtube clips of the famous scenes and just tacked those onto a pre-written 'cabin fever' type screenplay.

Yeah I love Fellini, I just mean the initial copies I've been able to get hold of for his films have been semi-unwatchable for one reason or another. 8 and a half it was really bad quality and La Dolce Vita it was again an issue with the subs. But I did eventually manage to get decent copies of both and love them. Just thinking that with another bad copy on the first try of getting one of his films it's a signal I should get a boxset where you'd hope there wouldn't be the same issues.

Just read that Blade Runner is getting a sequel...
Will be produced by Ridley Scott (not directed) and he said that it will consist of 3 'acts', if that means that they'll turn it into another trilogy, I don't know.

It seems fashionable for Hollywood to divide a single movie into 3 different movies nowadays.

yeah fury was strong. Like you say, really intense, hard hitting action. That bit right at the end was a wee bit dumb tho:

Hunger games seems like it'd be kinda legit for a young teenager/pre-teen.

The story is pretty much just a mash up of classic sci-fi tropes blended with a cheesed out romance storyline.
