Alright people. Names Craig, been browsing the forum for a few weeks now and finally decided to join. Been trying to produce dubstep for about 3/4 months but have got nowhere really, using FL Studio on a crap PC with a crap setup :o
I mean really crap! But it'll do for now till i've saved enough cash for a decent setup. Wanna know anything else, feel free to ask!

Dubstep Forum name Rebel from America...Most know me as Khalief Khadafi or Konfidential...representing the US as a whole....im all about revolution and change and dubstep is da best music for that because the base gets u up off ur ass....I dont waste bars on frivolous rhetoric...every line has a message...and the goal is to grow dubstep and spread knowledge thru the ultimate form of brain washing...entertainmet and music...check out the album "Rebel From America" and watch out for all future projects...my hip hop history is history a mystery I dubstep from here on out take dat literally....

Hello there
I'm from north Wales, UK. Any folks on here from that general neck of the woods, feel free to give me a shout.
been a lurker here for ages but just decided it's time I sign up and make some kind of contribution.
I have been making tunes and occasionally Djing for about 10 years, not soo much DJing these days but i am trying to drag my lazy ass back into it. Production style wize, i have covered quite a few bases(tekno, acid, funk, drum and bass,hiphop,dub,ambient,breakcore,electro..the list goes on), probably spread myself a bit too thin, but mainly love making experimental Dubby Jungle/IDM and recently started trying my hand at some 'dubstep' though it normally always morphs into something miles away from the original intention. I find it hard to resist slapping an amen break over everything (just to see how it sounds ;) ) but then we're back in Jungle country :z:

Hey everyone,

have been perusing your lovely forum for a few days now and thought it was time to say hi......

.............I've been making various kinds of electronica for a few years now, mostly breakcore, D'n'B, Ambient, glitch, etc....and have recently started to make some dubstep and after a few failed attempts have finally managed to make something that i think is pretty listenable.....

....Will post up a tune in the Dubs section post haste.

Thank you to the owners and mediators for providing somewhere for like-minded people to come shoot the shit.....happy to be here!

Safezaaa...

Bleak.

i would say im fairly new to the dubstep scene. ive been listening to the beats for 7-8 months now, but just recently started going to shows since finding other friends that are into dubstep around my area (Buffalo NY) not too many venues play it around here besides soundlab.
http://www.bigorbitgallery.org/soundlab/directions.html

as far as im concerned, i could listen to dubstep and only dubstep for the rest of my life and enjoy every minute of it.

Hey, name's Anthony, I'm from Prince Edward Island, Canada. Very small place I come from, and not a huge scene for me to get out and see live stuff, but oh well I make the best of it. I'm entirely brand spanking new to dubstep, but I haven't turned it off since I turned it on about 80 hours ago.

How's it going guys, newcomer here. Name's Jeff, was born in New York but moved to a
small town in Texas. and I started listening to Dubstep a couple of months ago, checking out
tracks from rottun recordings and fuckin' love this genre.
Was a huge fan of Hardstyle/Hardcore but bleh I got tired of all the cheese and low quality etc.
I have a small bedroom studio, using FL9.
I'm also starting to Dj, bought a new set of CDJ200s to get it started.

Hai guise! U liek teh dubstepz?

Anyways, now that I got the first newbie post out of the way, I'll get on with the intro...

I'm CXI (or alternatively 1hundred11 / Eleventyone. Yes, it's a homage to the Hobbit. Yes I'm quite the geek for making that my name :P ) and I've been into dubstep now for about a year, with a great intro to the genre by Rusko. I've just started DJing, mashing, etc, and dub is by far my favorite stuff to mix, though I also do a bit of house and dnb. It's a pretty kicking scene over here in Chico, so I'm always finding new stuff to mess with.

I'm pretty amateur, but I'm learning fast. I have a few friends who produce their own stuff as well as put on killer live shows. I love finding new, filthier tracks, and love to introduce people to my new favorite genre.

All I have at the moment is a digital mixer, but I hope to get into the production of my own tunes pretty fast.

So again, hey there, hit me up with tips, tricks, tracks, questions, whatever, I'll try to return the favors, and I hope we all get along!

Peace, Love, And Dirty Filthy Beats to You All :)
