@Pysam-Thanks homey! I'm gonna turn down the hi-hat a bit, and I think the "mario bleeps" are gonna have to be replaced with another sound, maybe some kind of hand perc would be nice. My girlfriend hated that sound too! I also was told to turn up the kick some, so I'm gonna give it a shot. Cheers for listening.

@Suckabeat-I like the bass a lot, I think you may be overusing that sample from tetris too much though, just a bit, good synth work and a nice bassline, little more variation would be great. It's kind of just a 4 min loop of the same sounds, maybe you could focus on some drum work, to re-invest the listener in the tune, as your drums although sounding decently produced are more of a wallpaper for your other noises than an actual part of the tune imo. Good sounds for sure though. Little work and this could be a fun one to play out yo!

Magnetic: I love the sounds you use. Enough there to sound full, but none too big to take attention away from the bass and little stabby lead. I have to say though, the first section makes me want it to GO already, ya know? Once it picks up, its ace. But the first section may be a bit too long.
Remix: Looove the deep punchy kick. Pump up the snare a bit, make it as full as the kick, and the drums will be absolutely killer. Right now it just seems a bit too far back in the sound. I'd also say pump up the bass, but I think it's just my tiny ass headphone speakers can't handle the noise. I dig this mix, hard.
Thanks a lot for taking the time to give feedback. Ye the first section may be too long, still working on that! As for the remix, ive taken note of what you said and made the snare much more prominent. What do you think of adding a slow oscillating bassline?
Yeeeessssssss. That'd add a lot of movement to it, not that you really need it, but it'd be interesting and another thing to grab the listeners attention. Do it. If it sounds no good, take it out. But if you follow the sub's bassline you already got with the new slow osc, it should sound legit.

Yeah, i know exactly where you are coming from... I only basically made a 16 bar loop, + a bit of cut and paste, and thats what it came to out haha.
I'll take your advice and try and improve on it, then post it back in here when its done!
Churrrr for the feedback!

Nice track man, reminds me of Overflow but Emalkay. Here's what i think you could do to improve it:
.If you plan on doing any mastering, i think the sub-bass and low bass (<100hz)frequencies could do with a boost. As well as some overall volume compression (watch the release time though)
.Could do with some more melodies, especially in the last part of the song
.Some percussive fills/alterations in drum beat every so often would add interest to the song
This is all 'imo', i dont know a huge amount about mastering but i've done it to a few of my tracks and it has worked fine so far for me.

Good stuff. I like the reverb, the brakedown in the middle is also good. The thing i think could do with beefing up a bit is the drum beat and perhaps the bass. Melodies are good though.

This is my first completely completed track - I've even done some basic mastering on it. Thoughts and feedback very much appreciated. Also, I don't know a huge amount about mastering, so if I've done anything totally wrong, please let me know

Track is called Vigilant Recollection (reference to audio samples used in song). Link is megaupload, file is 320k mp3 at 48KHz sampling rate (if anyone has a problem with file format, let me know and i can re-upload it)

Good song. Recognise that vocal sample. All I would say is that it is a bit busy at times but apart from that, it's fine! Very professional sounding, well mastered.

this whole track feedback system doesnt work if no one leaves feedback, give some feedback on other peoples tracks before posting your own - i gave feedback for two tracks before posting my own and then i left feedback for another track afterwards.
