Has it worked with instruments other than Massive? Try one of lives built in intruments or a freeware synth.

if its the babybells track then it's not turned on, you can see how drum track no1 is on but babybells is greyed out.

Is it possible to map two midi controls to one parameter or macro? or have one parameter controlled by midi and a macro?

I just got the Korg Nanokontrol and Im setting up a project for DJing. Right now in the first scene the controls are laid out similar to the picture about 5 posts down in this thread -> http://glitchhopforum.com/glitch-hop-pr ... -t907.html . That all works but I want to be able to mix internally so I dont have to lug my mixer around to practice. So in the second scene the knobs are eq controls, but this also means that faders 4 & 5 don't control the track volume anymore since ableton reads them as new controls. Im trying to figure out a way to have 4 & 5 control the volume and filter sweeps from both scenes. Any ideas would be very appreciated.

Edit: after checking out korgs kontrol editor it looks like I can set this up in there. I'm still curious if this is possible to do with out any extra software thought.

I have a question regarding Ableton's Sampler. I made a drum kit using samples i ripped from fallout 3, my question: Is it possible to set up an individual FX chain for each sample located in different zones? Or is there an easier way to do this by using, let's say, Simpler? Help is greatly appreciated!

Each zone, C-1 through F#1, has a sample assigned to it. I want to know if there is a way to set up a seperate FX chain for each sample.

Ok I was over complicating it, if you open up the drum rack I/O section each sample has its own fx chain and sends.

This is probably a really noobish question...But you can only add midi samples into the drumrack. To place an audio sample into the rack would i have to put the audio sample into simpler and somehow copy paste that into the drum rack slot? Is their an easier way to do this, or will that even work? Obviously i've never tried this...

If you drag the audio sample to a drum rack pad it will be automatically placed in an instance of simpler. You can also make an instance of simpler, adjust the settings, and save that as the default instance of simpler that will be used when you drag an audio clip into the drum rack. You can also drag an drop any instrument into a drum rack pad.

There's a sale (-25%) at ableton.com. I have Live 8 at the moment, not going to upgrade to Suite but I'm thinking about buying Sampler. Is it worth 74€ or not? Simpler is very basic and I often find myself looking for alternatives. Haven't found any reasonably priced third party samplers (for Mac) yet.

I would say its worth it, I was using it in the demo and I fell in love with it. I didn't buy the full suite but now Im thinking about it with this sale. If your going to put down the $100 for sampler its worth another 100 for operator and the rest of the suite imo. Also if you have a second computer you could download the suite trial and play around with sampler.

I have a question regarding sidechain compression...

If i have a pad im using that has a sub bass tied in with two other mid frequency osc, is their a way to sidechain the sub appart from the rest of the patch? Is there a sidechain feature with multiband compression i could use with this? Or should i look into splitting the frequencies and bouncing the sub to a new audio track?

Helps appreciated greatly
