Yeah after two Orson ones it was time to return to them. It's definitely one that if I noticed it was playing on the big screen there'd be no question about seeing it

Here's one someone's done. Dunno why they haven't bothered with the hat though, they've done like 99% of the work making the eye and then just not finished it off

Inherent Vice is out in theaters soon? No idea when it will make it to this side of the world. good book.

Boyhood - really good in the end, beautifully shot. About half way through I thought its only impressive cause they used the same actors and it took 13 years to make (as it follows the story of a boy from aged 5-18) but by the end I could appreciate the story as a whole. Maybe its due to my age I couldn't really appreciate the story through the childhood part and found it more engaging towards the end (late teens/going off to college ect). There were no major events or anything just an average family going through life. Some of the parts were slightly Waking Life-esque, philosophical conversations, but it fit in with the film so well it didn't feel like they'd forced it in there for the sake of it.
Good film.
Good film.

Definitely want to see it in the cinema.
Only recently saw The Master and really liked that.

Posted this in the TV thread first because I'm stupid.
What I watched the past few days:
Blue Ruin (2013)
Thought it was pretty good, definitely had some pacing issues though - feels like it could easily have been at least 15 minutes shorter, but overall pretty good.
I Origins (2014)
Nice little scifi-ish drama pondering evolution, religion and stuff. Gets a little heavyhanded at times when it comes to the dialogue, feels like some of the themes would have been better presented in a slightly less verbose way.
Frank (2014)
Took me a while to get around to watching this but oh boy, what a great film. Explores themes like where does artistic inspiration/skill come from in a super subtle and non-pretentious way. Nice acting all around.
Gone Girl (2014)
I'm a sucker for Fincher and I thought it was excellent. The third act is a little uneven but the ending ties everything up. Seriously unpleasant movie in a kinda discreet way. Also had some very very good performances from pretty much the whole cast.

Snowpiercer. Really good, definitely recommend. I've been going through Joon-ho Bong films recently, Memories of Murder and The Host were great, the latter mainly for the laughs.

Just saw Kumiko the Treasure Hunter is coming out in March.
Seriously put that on your lists, it's really good
I honestly had no idea it was an advanced screening when I saw it.
Was like three months back.
Stills like this say it all really:
