found out i'm playing off cdj-200s on friday, they look TINY from the photos compared to 800/1000, hope i don't knock off the pitch fader when cueing/messing with the jog wheel (happened on 400s). Also, the lack of vinyl mode would be a tough one.






still, i'm looking forward!

I use CDJ-200s, they're not amazing but they totally do the job. The worst part about them is the jog wheel, it feels like a toy


PS terpit, sendspace is a great way to upload music, but you can't play it, it's like a mediafire but better

nah, seen plenty of mixes there. think fabric promo mixes are always uploaded on there. I think I used it once as well.

You can stream stuff once you upload it to zippy

hmmm uploaded to mixcloud really quickly but its slowed the whole thing down turning a 50 minute mix into a 3 hour mix.. frustrating.

I hadnt thought of zippy, thought it was just for holding files. Will try that aswell thanks

not having vinyl mode is the worst. you'll be doing a lot of quick drop to drop mixing

i also used to have that mixer but it only had two channels. seeing that beast brings back some terrible memories.

it just doesn't comare to the 1000's, i'll tell you that much. it feels too ridgid, where as on a 1000 it feels a little more natural imo. i had a real problem adjusting on the fly with them

i actually think i'll practice mixing a bit, i tend to spin back the tune being mixed out quite a lot.
I was actually more about the feel/working with it... are the fx any good?
i see i'll be abusing the fx on the mixer with no vinyl mode

dear god. i couldnt imagine having to play out on 200s.

400s are bad enough (size) but take away the fact theres no vinyl mode..... jesus.

yeah it's basically like you can use the jog wheel like it's a vinyl record, pull a rewind, etc

johney - I've only used a 400 once and a 1000 a couple times, but it's not that much bigger than a 400, the only real thing is the jog wheel and vinyl mode

the 1000s are just leagues ahead, no question about it

and sendspace lets you upload up to 3gb, whereas mediafire only lets 20mb
