I watched Birdman last night and fuckk that was good

After looking at the Oscars nominations, I realized that I've only seen 2 movies on the list. lol. Nice to see that "Ida" got 2 nominations.

Alright PTSD/war action film. Nowhere near as good or real feeling as hurt locker, but on that tip.

American Sniper from what I've heard is a fairly nausiating example of 'Murica. And based on Clint Eastwood's recent directing efforts I'd say it sits rock bottom on the Oscar nominees I'm interested in seeing. Will the Academy ever get over their hard-on for bio-pics? Birdman was cool but I'm a sucker for meta stuff like that. Elements of Sunset Blvd and Synecdoche New York in there.

Watched Nightcrawler and Whiplash. Both were good but Nightcrawler didn't quite live up to the hype for me. Whiplash on the other hand blew me away.
