i met up with my last ex after splitting with her 2 weeks prior. she asked me if i had got with anyone and in my head i was thinking 'yep' but didn't say anything because i didn't wanna cause a scene or make her upset. It's been about 5 months and I'm surprised how easy it's been for me... not to come across as fucking cold, but we'd tailed off over a fairly long time and she was living on the other side of the country for a year; it wasn't a hard break to make. Tbh, the hardest bit is thinking she might be sadder than me about it... I hate feeling like I've upset people I care about.

I didn't say either way... just said it wasn't a "sensible" conversation for her to be waking me up at 1am on a Friday morning to start. She took that to be confirmation that I'd been shagging my best mate. I've taken this as further confirmation that we made the correct decision 5 months ago.
